The UDX Theater in Akihabara was filled with "Eureka" fans, who welcomed the two with thunderous applause. Since this preview was a joint project of three anime magazines, "Animage," "Animedia," and "Newtype," Mr. Fujitsu asked, "What school of anime magazines did Director Kyoda belong to? Mr. Fujitsu-san asked, "What kind of anime magazine did Director Kyoda read? He recalls that, as a junior high school student at the time, he learned about popular designer and anime director Yutaka Izubuchi and the anime production company GAINAX through the fanatic anime magazine, of which current KADOKAWA Senior Managing Director Shinichiro Inoue was the sub-editor-in-chief.

Since Renton, the main character of the film, is also 14 years old, the topic of the conversation went straight to "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 1" from his junior high school days. This is the first of a trilogy, and the story centers around Renton. In response to Mr. Fujitsu's question, "When you created the character of Renton, did you to some extent reflect the director's sense of his junior high school years? Director Kyoda replied, "Especially in the TV version, I drew Renton in a way that he was distant from the way I felt when I was 14 years old. However, this time around, we reflect the way I felt when I was in junior high school, as our past selves as seen from our present selves. On the other hand, Director Kyoda himself is approaching his 50s, and he revealed that he and Dai Sato and Kenichi Yoshida had talked about how "we can no longer be Renton.

In addition to new cuts, the production of "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 1" involved not only new cuts, but also considerable modifications from the pictures of the TV version. In "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 1," even cuts that appear to have been appropriated from the TV version, many of the characters' performances, dialogues, and backgrounds were redrawn, and many of them were newly reborn. Director Kyoda said, "Originally, we didn't intend to go that far, but there were cuts where the physical material was missing. ...... I thought if I was going to fix it anyway, I might as well do it right," he said.

When asked, "What did you consciously change from the TV version?" Director Kyoda replied, "First of all, Takeshi Aono, who played Axel Thurston (Renton's grandfather), passed away (in 2012), and we couldn't bring out Axel. Maybe it was selfish of the main staff, but I didn't want to see Axel without Aono's voice. So we decided to do a story about Adrock (Renton's father).

When that happened, there would be no one to watch over Renton. So we wanted to make sure that Ray and Charles were Renton's in-laws. As we got older, we couldn't help but look at it from a parental point of view," he said.

The conversation then turned to Renton's father, Adrock Thurston. In the TV version, Adrock Thurston was not voiced, but in this film, he is voiced by Toru Furuya. Director Kyoda explains the reason for this as follows about the character of Adrock: "Adrock is very romantic.

I thought Adrock must be a very romantic person. Otherwise, he wouldn't have come up with such a crazy plan, and he wouldn't have said "Summer of Love. On the other hand, he is also naïve and tries to show his dignity by growing a beard to command his troops.

So, he is not simply an austere voice, but a naïve person who ultimately takes on and solves various problems, in a sense, becoming the main character.

In expressing this characterization, director Kyoda says, "I could only hear Mr. Furuya's voice," perhaps due to his impression of Amuro Rei from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series. He also recalled how he was impressed by Mr. Furuya's stance on acting in the animated film "Expelled from Paradise," in which he participated as director.

Mr. Fujitsu went a step further and asked, "For Director Kyoda, what kind of existence was Eureka (the heroine) trying to portray in the series as a whole? He asked, "For example, how would you describe Eureka (the heroine) in the series as a whole? Director Kyoda replied, "For example, even if it was a story about a boy and a girl who meet and fall in love, I didn't want the story to end there. That's why I kept giving Eureka difficult situations and challenges. Eureka has no more challenges to give, and we are getting older and more timid about giving challenges. ...... In that sense, I want Eureka to be a person who has a strong way of life and will to live independently, and that's why I drew her," he replied, shedding light on the director's view of the character.

The topic of conversation quickly turned to the second film. In addition to Anemone, who will appear in the next trailer, the director also announced that Dominic will make an appearance in "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 2. This should come as a relief to Dominic fans.

Even though he could not give any specifics because it would be a spoiler, he said, "'Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 1' had a different methodology, but 'Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 2' is a more entertaining movie with content that everyone wants to see. I think "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 2" is a more entertaining movie with content that everyone wants to see," said director Kyoda.

In addition, technical topics such as sound design and the use of different screen ratios for different production styles were also discussed at the talk event, which proved to be a very lively affair. As the talk time drew to a close, Director Kyoda concluded the event with a final greeting to the fans.

Whenever I would say, "I can't make it this time, ......," various people would appear and say, "You're making Eureka, right? Every time I couldn't make it this time, I'd get a lot of trouble. The staff at the site say that "Eureka" is made up of miracles, and I realized that the title "Eureka" is truly loved by everyone.

I am truly grateful to everyone, and I feel that I need to return the favor by making something that will surprise everyone and make them happy. (The next film is scheduled to be released about every other year, so I would be grateful if you could stay with me for another two years.

Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN High Evolution 1" will be released on September 16, 2012.
