Report on "Mr. Ajikko" Talk Show with Author and Cast Arrives! Blu-ray Box to be Released and Special Broadcast of Episode 1 Announced!

Based on the popular manga "Mr. Ajikko" by Daisuke Terasawa, known for "Shota no Sushi" and "Gokuitan". The TV anime was broadcast for two years from 1987 to 1989, and gained popularity for its wildly ridiculous, flamboyant, and dynamic direction, especially the reactions of the characters. The original plan was for the program to run for around 25 episodes, but due to its popularity, it was extended and extended, becoming a popular program with a longevity of 99 episodes. The director is Yasuhiro Imagawa of "Mobile Mutant G Gundam" and "Tetsujin 28. Minami Takayama, known for her roles in "Detective Conan," played the lead role for the first time in this film.

Mr. Ajikko" was screened at the "Sunrise Festival 2017 Shoun" September 7 at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku, where many Sunrise works from each era were screened.
The HD remastered images screened prior to the Blu-ray BOX were the first episode "The Genius Chef Yoichi Ajikichi Appears" and the 47th episode "The Great Battle of Fate! Yoichi and Kazuma's battle for the saury" and episode 50, "Farewell, Marui! The Road of Cooking is an Endless Challenge". After the screening, a talk show was held featuring Daisuke Terasawa, the author of the original story, Minami Takayama, who played Yoichi Ajikichi, and Wataru Takagi, who made his voice acting debut as "Mr. Ajikko.

The speakers for this event were made possible by a call from Mr. Terasawa, the author of the original work. Mr. Takagi, who made his debut on the show after observing postrecording sessions in order to become a voice actor, has continued to communicate with Mr. Terasawa after the show ended, and the teacher requested him to be a guest on the stage.

The talk started with the story of Mr. Takagi's debut.
Mr. Ajikko was his debut as a voice actor, and it's already been 30 years. I'm surprised. It's still very interesting to watch it now, and I wonder what will happen next.What will happen next? What will happen next?I am honored to have such a work as my debut.
In response to Mr. Takagi's greeting, Mr. Takayama said, "Actually, my debut is no different. The first time I played the main character was in "Mr. Ajikko," and I had done only a handful of jobs before that. So it is not wrong to say that this work is my debut, so I publicly say that it is my debut work," he said, explaining his strong attachment to the work in that it was his first work as the main character.
Mr. Terasawa also made his debut as a manga artist with "Mr. Ajikko," which was made into an anime soon after it was serialized. Last year was the 30th anniversary of my career as a manga artist, and I have been doing a lot of different things," he said. This time I wanted to see it on the screen, and I wanted to meet all the fans because I had the chance to do so. I wasn't sure if Takagi-san and Takayama-san would be able to come, since they are now both well-known actors, but I asked them to come and they did, so I'm really happy.
Since all three speakers were all making their "debut works," the talk centered on their deep feelings toward their respective works, how they were recording in the studio at the time, and their interactions with the staff.

At the end of the talk, as a surprise, it was announced that the HD remastered version of the first episode would be broadcast on October 1 on TOKYO MX to commemorate the release of the Blu-ray BOX of "Mr. Ajikko".

Of the 99 episodes of "Mr. Ajikko," "Mr. Ajikko Itadakimasu BOX [Blu-ray]" containing the first 50 episodes will be released on November 2, 2017, and "Mr. Ajikko Gochisosama BOX [Blu-ray]" containing the second 51 to 99 episodes will be released on February 2, 2018, February 2, 2018, respectively.

In addition, to commemorate the release of the Blu-ray BOX, only the first episode will be specially broadcast on TOKYO MX.
