A special conversation just before the final episode of the summer anime "NTR" airs today! The original author, Ms. Naoko Kodama, and the general director, Mr. Hisayoshi Hirasawa, look back at all 12 episodes!

Yuma and Hotaru. The summer anime "NTR" depicts the forbidden yuri world of these two high school girls, who are both supposed to be normal high school girls with boyfriends. This work, which has continued to portray a truly roller-coaster-like drama, will reach its final episode on air today, Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

Therefore, as a project just before the final broadcast, we asked the original author, Ms. Naoko Kodama, and the general director, Mr. Hisayoshi Hirasawa, to talk about their memories of the anime version of "NTR," the highlights of all the episodes, and their memories!

The main focus is still on the "boobs"!

─ ─ Today, as a project just before the broadcast of the final episode of the anime "Naked Trap," we would like to have the general director Hirasawa and the original author, Naoko Kodama, take a look back at the anime version of "Naked Trap" while listening to a sample episode. Before we get down to business, we would first like to ask Ms. Kodama how this work was born.

Naoko Kodama (hereinafter referred to as "Kodama"): At first, during our meeting, I suggested, "How about a yuri story between married couples? I suggested, "How about yuri with married couples? But I thought that married couples would be too old for younger readers to relate to, so I changed the age to high school students.

─ ─ If they are married, there is a sense that they can't go back to the later age.

Kodama: That's right (laughs). I think it was more droll.

HISAYOSHI HIRASAWA (hereafter, HIRASAWA) Hahaha (laughs).

─ ─ I heard that it was at the time of the release of the third volume of the comics that Kodama-sensei heard that this work was going to be made into an anime.

Kodama: Yes, it was decided when the third volume was released. At first, I could understand it as a word, but I couldn't really feel it. Then, as I went to meetings and the voice actors were chosen, I began to think, "It's true. What should I do? I think I met the general director when I attended the first meeting where nothing had been decided yet.

─ How were your first impressions of each other?

Kodama: It was our first meeting, but the general director was very helpful because he talked a lot and made me feel comfortable. I am a shy person, so I can't talk that much.

Hirasawa: That's partly because I'm a talker by nature, but I think the director was also anxious in many ways. He wondered what kind of person he would be entrusting his original work, which was like his own precious child. We are not a famous company, and I am not a famous creator either, so I was trying to show that I would do my best.

Kodama (laughs).

Hirasawa I was desperate!

Kodama: So you thought that far ahead. I thought, "Wow, he talks a lot" (laughs).

Hirasawa No, not at all (laughs). (Laughs.) I think that not too many original authors have their works adapted into animated films. That is why we have to create a work that will satisfy them. To that end, I think it is easier to create a work if we can communicate with each other without hesitation. I always try my hardest not to make people think, "These people don't understand the original work.

In this context, we were able to talk about many things, so for my part, I thought we would have a lot of fun working together.

Kodama: Me too. I had the opportunity to visit the recording studio, and it was a very enjoyable and friendly place.

─ Did you feel uneasy about having your own work visualized by someone else, or having it become a different work?

Kodama: Well, I wondered how it would turn out, but basically I was looking forward to it as a viewer. However, the last part of the story will be original to the anime, so I wrote the plot for that part. Other than that, the visualization was faithful to the original work, so as the author, I didn't have to say, "Please make it more like this! I didn't say, "Please make it more like this!

───How did you feel when you saw your work on TV?

Kodama: It was a strange feeling. It was my work, but it was not my own work. I watched it objectively, saying things like, "This part is interesting. It was my first experience to look at my own work objectively. I also thought that service scenes were important (laughs).

Hirasawa: I put a lot of effort into animating those scenes.

─ ─ Are there any scenes in the anime that left a deep impression on you?

Kodama: The scene at the end of episode 4 where Hotaru and Yuma press their boobs against each other. That was a great boob scene (laughs).

─ So you are particular about the depiction of boobs?

Kodama: Yes, I am. I like to draw boobs.

Hirasawa: I think people who draw pictures have various fetishes. I like to imagine them, and when I read various works, I imagine, "Does this teacher like tits? In that context, I thought that Kodama-sensei is a boob.

Kodama You are right.

Hirasawa: That's what I thought, so when I first met him, I said, "Sensei has boobs, doesn't he! (laughs). I remember saying, "I will do my best with boobs.

Kodama: Indeed, I think we talked about the expression of boobs. But that was important, so I asked him to please do his best with good boobs.

Hirasawa: I think there are many ways to express boobs, such as shadows and lighting. If you put too many highlights on the boobs, they will look a bit hard, so all the staff members worked hard to create a textured look.
