When asked how he felt about being chosen as a guest voice actor for the film and how he felt after finishing the recording, he replied, "I had a lot of fun acting. In fact, voice acting was something I had always wanted to try again. I was surprised and happy to be asked to participate in a movie based on a very popular anime series, and to be the first Kabuki actor in the series.
When asked if he and Jean-Pierre have anything in common in their pursuit of the ultimate sweet, he replied, "We are both men. I think it's cool that you, as a man, can put your life on the line for something. Jean-Pierre taught me that I can still grow. Expectations for Matsuya's future career are only increasing!
When asked about a "memorable sweet," which is also in the title of the film, he replied, "It's a chocolate cake that a friend made for me a long time ago. Actually, it didn't taste good (laughs). Finally, he commented on the highlights of the film: "The character I played this time, Jean-Pierre, is a unique character who could be described as a 'sweet weirdo' without exaggeration.
