Matsuya Onoe, who makes his voice acting debut in the theater version of "Kira Kira☆Pri Cure Aramode," challenges public postrecording in a pastry chef costume!

Opening in theaters on Saturday, October 28, 2017, "Kira Kira Kira Pretty Cure Aramode: The Movie, Paritto! Millefeuille of Memories! was held at a studio in Tokyo.



The "Pretty Cure" series is an animation for girls that depicts girls transforming into Pretty Cure, warriors of justice, and taking an active part in protecting peace from evil organizations. The current "Kira Kira Pretty Cure A La Mode" is the 14th work in the series and the 12th Pretty Cure. The story is about Ichikata Usami, a legendary patissier and Pretty Cure who fights to protect the sweets that are filled with her love. The "Animal Sweets" decorated with animals in the sweets store "Kirakira Patisserie" opened by Ichikata are popular among children.

At an event held on Wednesday, September 20, Matsuya Onoe, the "sweets man of the Kabuki world," appeared for the first time as a voice actor in an anime film. He dressed up in a patissier costume and tried his hand at post-recording in order to become the genius patissier Jean-Pierre Zilberstein, the character he plays.


During the Q&A session that followed the post-recording session, Matsunaga revealed his thoughts on being selected as a guest voice actor, the "memorable sweets" that led him to be called a "sweets guy," and other highlights of the event.

The guest voice actor for this film is Matsuya Onoe, who is known as the "sweets man" of the Kabuki world, and today Matsuya held his first public postrecording session at a studio in Tokyo.


Matsuya plays the role of Jean-Pierre Zilberstein, a genius patissier who devotes his entire life to sweets and strives to make the "ultimate sweets.


Matsuya wanted to "become Jean-Pierre in body and soul," so he himself dressed up in a patissier costume for the post recording! Matsuya himself appeared in a patissier costume for the postrecording, saying, "I want to be Jean-Pierre in body and soul." He performed the tension unique to Jean-Pierre with great spirit, acting ability, and a beautiful voice.


Matsuya, who was wearing a patissier costume for the first time in his life, wowed the audience right from the start by saying, "When I put it on, I was so embarrassed I wanted to go home (laughs).


When asked how he felt about being chosen as a guest voice actor for the film and how he felt after finishing the recording, he replied, "I had a lot of fun acting. In fact, voice acting was something I had always wanted to try again. I was surprised and happy to be asked to participate in a movie based on a very popular anime series, and to be the first Kabuki actor in the series.


When asked if he and Jean-Pierre have anything in common in their pursuit of the ultimate sweet, he replied, "We are both men. I think it's cool that you, as a man, can put your life on the line for something. Jean-Pierre taught me that I can still grow. Expectations for Matsuya's future career are only increasing!


When asked about a "memorable sweet," which is also in the title of the film, he replied, "It's a chocolate cake that a friend made for me a long time ago. Actually, it didn't taste good (laughs). He also revealed the secret story behind the birth of the "sweets men" of the Kabuki world.
