In commemoration of the start of the second season of the fall anime "Osomatsu-san," a "66-second introduction video to 'Osomatsu-san'" was released that briefly recaps the first season.

Osomatsu-san" is an original anime created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the late Fujio Akatsuka's birth. Based on Fujio Akatsuka's explosive hit gag manga "Osomatsu-kun" published in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1962, "Osomatsu-san" depicts a future where the six children have grown up. Even now, a year after its airing, the series continues to be developed into a wide variety of products, collaborations with convenience stores, JRA, and other major collaborations, and even game applications and stage performances. In April 2017, it was announced that the second season would be broadcast, and that the anime support project unit A-O-P would continue to perform the opening theme as in the first season.

The introductory video released prior to the first broadcast on Monday, October 2, 2017, is a 66-second look back at the first season of "Osomatsu-san," narrated by Toshio Furukawa, who did the actual voice of Iyami Kart in episode 18 of the first season, "Iyami the Counterattack. For those who missed the first season or are thinking of watching the second season, this is an easy-to-understand introduction of "Osomatsu-san".

The ending theme of the second season, "Let's Go! Mutsu Go! ~6-color rainbow~" will be released on December 6 (Wed.). This song was written by ROOTS66 for "Osomatsu-san" and is sung by two groups of participating artists, "Early Mats 66" and "Late Mats 66," in order of their birthdays. In addition to the CD, a DVD containing music videos and a 2-disc set will also be released.
