The event was a great success with moe and healing VR experiences and a gorgeous stage featuring voice actors! MFJ Land! Photo Report

KADOKAWA/Media Factory's light novel label MF Bunko J, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, held its event "Summer School Festival 2017 Let's all go to MFJ Land! was held at Bellesalle Akihabara on Sunday, September 10, 2017.

As the catchphrase suggests, the theme of this year's event, the sixth of its kind, was "amusement park. The main attractions were "Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu", "No Game No Life", and "Welcome to the Classroom of the Supreme Power", three works that have recently been broadcast in anime or are scheduled to be newly developed, and various exhibitions and attractions were prepared for visitors to experience the appeal of the label's works. In addition to a stage event featuring a cast of splendid voice actors, the venue sold limited-edition goods and limited-edition gacha, and distributed free goods, attracting a large number of visitors in the clear autumn weather. This article will report on the scene at the venue, which was such a great success.

Rum and Rem from "Re: Zero kara Hajimete Isekai Seikatsu" greeted visitors at the front gate.

Re: Zero kara Hajimari no Isekai Seikatsu" area

The VR experience corner was the main attraction of this year's event. This is a digital content that allows visitors to experience sleeping with or on their knees with Remilia or Rem, the popular heroines of "Re:Zero VR de Isekai Seikatsu" in VR space.

Many visitors came for this reason, and there was a long line of people waiting for their turn (50-70 minutes). Although the experience lasted only 4 to 5 minutes, a man in his 20s, an office worker from Saitama Prefecture, said with satisfaction, "It was more realistic than I had imagined, and I was healed by Lem talking to me while falling on his knees. He was so satisfied that he couldn't wait to buy the app. Not only him, but other fans were tired of waiting in line, but it was impressive that they all had good faces when they came out of the booth.

Behind the VR experience booth, there was a life-size statue of Rem!

In addition to the illustration panel display, coloring samples of the figure to be released were also shown in advance, and fans were constantly gazing at them intently and taking pictures.

No Game No Life" area / "Welcome to the Classroom of the Supreme Order of Merit" area

In the "No Game No Life" area, in addition to figurines and panels, a giant objet d'art featuring the film and the movie version that is currently in theaters was particularly eye-catching.

In the "Welcome to the Classroom" area, visitors could take pictures with the heroines in their school uniforms at the "Seifuku Amusement Park Cheki♪" corner. The figures are quite erotic, as they are the work of the duo of Akio Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose, who are known for their bishojo games.

Heroine's Hall

An interesting corner displaying illustrations of old and new works by the same label, with rooms A through C divided by skin color.

Room A...Cute costumes: skin color ratio 0 to 30%.

Room B...swimsuits, underwear, and undressing: 30-70% skin tone

Room C...Almost naked: 70-100% skin color

When you get to C, oh ...... this is ...... pretty, nice.

Upon exiting the room, you are greeted by life-size pop-ups of the heroines of each work. Since it is a summer festival, they are all dressed in yukata (summer kimono)!

■Pampering / Goods Distribution / Kitchen Car

The 15th anniversary flavored popcorn looks delicious.

Various goods were given away for free, including special shoppers, posters, stickers, fans, clear bookmarks, and paperbacks to try out new releases. Anyway, it was a big deal.

At a kitchen car attached to the event, food and drinks collaborating with the works were served with special coasters. The author, tired from the event, had shaved ice from the "Re:Zero" series. Colorful!

There were also stage events of popular works on the main stage. I will be posting reports on each of these stages in due course, so please look forward to them as well!
