The production of "To Aru Majutsu no Index III," the third season of the TV anime "To Aru Majutsu no Index," was announced at the New Information Stage at the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2017 held on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

To Aru Majutsu no Index" is a light novel series published by Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA ASCII Media Works) in 2004, and as of October 2017, the series has sold 16.35 million copies, making it a historical mega-hit. In 2008, the first TV anime adaptation was made, followed by the second TV anime season in 2010, and in 2013, it was screened as an animated film version, gaining popularity. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun" (A Certain Scientific Railgun), an offshoot of "Toaru Kagaku no Railgun," has also been adapted into two TV anime seasons, a four-cour season, and an OVA volume, and has gained tremendous support from fans around the world.

As the first step of the "Toaru Project in 2018," production of "Toaru Majutsu no Index III," the third season of the TV anime "Toaru Majutsu no Index Index" has been decided!　More details will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned for more news.
