The 2017 summer anime "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi" which aired to great acclaim, will include an audio commentary of episode 9 in the third volume of its Blu-ray/DVD.

Isekai ha Smartphone tomodotte to tomodotte. is a novel that has been published on the online novel site "Shosetsu-ka Naro! is a very popular work written by Patra Fuyuhara, with a total of over 100 million PV on the online novel site "Shosetsu-ka Naro! It is currently published in book form by HJ Novels (Hobby Japan), and is being serialized as a comic book in "Monthly Comp Ace" (KADOKAWA).

The main character Fuyuyoru Mochizuki, who died by God's mistake, is reborn in another world with his physical ability whose parameters were raised by God and a smartphone that can be used in other worlds. Fuyuyoru meets various people and acquires important friends through his life in the other world, which becomes his second life, and he gradually comes to know the secret of the world.

Episode 9 "Oedo, and the Treasure of Immortality" is the conclusion of the episode in Yaesheng, the hometown of Yae, one of the main heroines.

The battles and schemes unfold in a Japanese-style world that differs from the previous settings. The story depicts Fuyuya and her friends playing an active role behind the scenes, so Chinatsu Akasaki, who plays Yae Kokonoe, can speak a lot of lines. ......, but Yae herself does not appear much, and in the end, Fuyuya solves the problems with her cheat ability.

We asked Fukuhara Katsumi, who plays Fuyuyoru Mochizuki, Akasaki Chinatsu, who plays Yae, and Uesaka Sumire, who plays Lean, about their impressions of the recording of episode 9.

Does Katsumi Fukuhara take nutritional drinks easily?

─ First of all, please tell us your impressions after the audio commentary recording.

Fukuhara Katsumi (Fukuhara): I've done it twice before, but even now I can't get used to it (laughs).

Chika Akasaki (Chika Akasaki): Fukuhara's initial tension was amazing.

Uesaka Sumire (Uesaka) I thought I saw a stranger (laughs).

Akasaki: During postrecording, you were sometimes in a strange state of tension after drinking a nutritional drink, and that's the same today, isn't it?

Fukuhara That's right, I drank some Oronamin C right before the recording.

Uesaka So you have a constitution that easily responds to nutritional drinks.

Fukuhara It works quite well. I was nervous, so I was in a very unsteady mood and went into the session with a high level of tension. I'm fine once it starts, but I'm the type of person who gets very nervous until it actually starts.

───However, after recording the commentary for the third time, don't you get used to it?

Fukuhara Not at all. The tempo of "Isesma" is particularly fast-paced, so the video goes on and on, and I don't know what to say. ......

Akasaki That's true! There are times when I have something to say, but before I know it, the scene is over (laughs).

─ ─ Since we're here, if there's something you missed in the main commentary, why don't you talk about it here?

Uesaka: The timing of Fuyunya's "apports" (magic to retrieve things from far away) was too early.

Akasaki It was eating him up, wasn't it?

Fukuhara You said "apports" while overlapping with the other's line, didn't you? It was a strange scene, where you could read the atmosphere, but you couldn't.

Akasaki: I enjoyed the way Fukuhara closed his commentary (laughs). I thought he was going to say at the end, "I'm the actor who plays XXX," but he didn't seem to say anything at all until the very end (laughs). It was something new.

Fukuhara: The scene was very relaxed, so I thought it was fine.

Uesaka In a way, that's a good thing about the "Isesma" scene (laughs).
