The theme song for the animated film "GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters," to be released on Friday, November 17, 2017, will be "WHITE OUT" sung by new artist XAI.




GODZILLA Planet of the Monsters" is the first animated film in the "Godzilla" series, a special effects monster movie released in 1954. The director is Kobun Shizuno, who has worked on many theatrical "Detective Conan" series, including the latest in the series, "Detective Conan: Karakurenorabureta". The film is directed by Hiroyuki Seshimo, who was the general director of the TV anime "Knights of Sidonia: The Battle of the Ninth Planet" and the film and TV version of the anime "Ajin". The story is drafted and written by Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus), the creator of the TV anime "Fate/Zero", "PSYCHO-PASS: Psycho-Pass" series, and "Puella Magi Madoka Magica".

XAI, who sings the theme song "WHITE OUT" for this film, is a solo female singer who won the first "Artist Award," which was established as a first attempt of the 8th "Toho Cinderella" audition held last November. Her mysterious voice and overwhelming singing ability made her a rare talent, and she has been selected for this unusually large prize. Mr. Nakano of BOOM BOOM SATELLITES, who produced "WHITE OUT," gave me the impression that he is a person who thinks about music first, has original values, and has always lived with music and art. ...... He trained me physically and mentally through the creation of music and made me an "artist" even though I had not yet made my debut.
