Godzilla lands in Ueno! GODZILLA Planet of the Monsters" and TOHO CINEMAS Ueno special collaboration poster

A special collaboration between "GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters," an animated film to be screened in theaters on November 17, 2017 (Friday), and TOHO Cinemas Ueno, which opens on November 4 (Saturday), 2017.

GODZILLA Planet of the Monsters" is the first animated film in the "Godzilla" series, a special effects monster movie released in 1954. The director is Kobun Shizuno, who has worked on many theatrical versions of the "Detective Conan" series, including the latest in the series, "Detective Conan: Karakurenoraburetaa". The film will be directed by Hiroyuki Seshimo, who was the general director of the TV animation "Knights of Sidonia: The Battle of the Ninth Planet" and the theatrical and TV versions of the anime "Ajin". TOHO CINEMAS Ueno will open on November 4 (Sat) in Ueno, a town where art and culture are deeply rooted, with numerous cultural facilities such as zoos, museums, and art galleries, and where the National Museum of Western Art was registered as a World Heritage site in 2016.
