Director Yoshiyuki Tomino appears at "Anitama Festival!　Talks about the joys of "Anime Tourism," its potential for regional promotion, and issues that need to be resolved.

It was announced that Yoshiyuki Tomino will give a lecture at "Anitama Festival (Anime and Manga Festival in Saitama)," a comprehensive anime and manga event to be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017.

Anitama Festival" is a comprehensive anime and manga event held every year in Saitama Prefecture under the theme of "Anime and Sightseeing," with stage shows, talk events, and goods sales. This year marks the fifth time that the event has been held, and each time it is attended by voice actors, idols, and other superb guests associated with Saitama Prefecture. Last year, 34,000 people attended in one day, making it a great success.

Yoshiyuki Tomino will deliver a keynote lecture at the "Anitama Festival. The theme is based on the "88 Sacred Sites of Japanese Anime that Fans Around the World Have Selected to Visit" announced in August 2017 by the Anime Tourism Association, of which Mr. Tomino is the chairman, and he will talk about the fun of "anime tourism" that will spread in various ways, its potential for regional development, and issues to be solved. The lecture will be based on "88 Anime Sacred Places in Japan that Fans Around the World Have Chosen to Visit".
