Tokyo Game Show 2017 ("TGS"), Japan's largest computer game festival, was held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, from September 21 (Thursday) to September 24 (Sunday), 2017. Many cosplayers also participated in this major event each time. On the night of the first day of general participation, there was even a stage called "Cosplay Collection Night @ TGS presented by Cure" that was so successful.

This year again, there were many game fans dressed in a variety of costumes, regardless of nationality or genre, not only in the dedicated cosplay area, but also throughout the venue. Let us introduce some of the cosplayers who gathered on the 23rd and 24th, the days for general participation.



Since the event was centered on games, many of the cosplayers were dressed up as game characters. The most popular cosplayers this time were the heroines of the "FINAL FANTASY" series, such as Tifa and Lightning, who represent each title. Fate/Grand Order," which has become increasingly popular since its second anniversary, "NieR: Automata" and "SINoALICE," which have been particularly popular in the cosplay community recently, were also popular. Other popular games included "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS" and "LOVE LIVE! and "Street Fighter," a fighting game that recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, there was a wide variety of cosplay, both old and new.

There were also stage events in the cosplay area, including a fashion show featuring participants of "Cosplay Collection Night" and a "Gathering @ TGS2017," where people could jump in on the day and show their cosplay of different works and genres, which was a lot of fun. The event was a lot of fun.
