Anime "Solitary Gourmet" Announces Main Staff & Cast! Director Kazuya Kise and Keno Horiuchi plays the role of Goro Inokashira

The main staff and cast of the upcoming tate-anime "Solo no Gourmet" have been announced. It was announced that Kazuya Kise, known as the general director of "Ghost in the Shell: ARISE," will be the director, and Keno Horiuchi, known for his role as Commander Yuki in "The Joker Game," will play Goro Inokashira.

Solo no Gourmet" is a gourmet manga written by Masayuki Kusumi (original story) and drawn by Jiro Taniguchi. The 2012 TV drama series became a huge hit and was adapted into a TV drama series, with the latest season, Season 6, airing from April to July 2017.

It was announced that Kazuya Kise, known as the general director of "Ghost in the Shell: ARISE," will direct the upcoming "Solitary Gourmet" on the vertical animation distribution application "Tate-anime," which is designed for smartphone viewing, and that Keno Horiuchi, known for his role as Commander Yuki in "Joker Game," will play Goro Inokashira. I have been reading Taniguchi Jiro's manga for a long time. So when the project for "The Gourmet of Solitude" was decided, I thought it was a rare opportunity to draw Taniguchi's pictures in an anime, but at the same time I felt a lot of pressure.

As for myself, I want the anime "Solo no Gourmet" to consist only of "pictures from the original work. Since I draw the pictures myself, I try to draw the same pictures as the original as much as possible so that I do not miss any of Taniguchi-san's ingredients. When drawing the pictures, I am also helped a lot by the acting of Mr. Keno Horiuchi, who plays Goro Inokashira.

I am having a hard time with the vertical animation frame, which is something I am not used to, but I hope to express "the atmosphere of eating deliciously" in the animation. I hope that fans will warmly watch my work.
