The November issue of "Da Vinci" featuring the voice actors of the six children of "Osomatsu-san" on the cover sold out within 5 days of its release! The magazine was urgently reprinted, a rare occurrence!

The October 6, 2017 issue of "Da Vinci" magazine, featuring the six voice actors (Takahiro Sakurai, Yuichi Nakamura, Hiroshi Kamiya, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono, and Miyu Irino) from the TV anime "Osomatsu-san" on the cover, sold out within five days of its release, which is an unusual situation for a magazine. It was announced that an emergency reprint of the magazine had been decided.

Osomatsu-san" is an original anime created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the late Fujio Akatsuka's birth. Based on Fujio Akatsuka's explosive hit gag manga "Osomatsu-kun" published in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1962, "Osomatsu-san" depicts a future where the six children have grown up. Even now, a year after its airing, the series continues to be developed into a wide variety of products, collaborations with convenience stores and JRA, and even game apps and stage productions. In April 2017, it was announced that the second season would be broadcast, and that the anime support project unit A-O-P would continue to perform the opening theme as in the first season.

The November issue of "Da Vinci" magazine (October 6, 2017 issue) recently featured the six cast members who play the six children, Takahiro Sakurai, Yuichi Nakamura, Hiroshi Kamiya, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono, and Miyu Irino, all on the cover.

The cover of the "da Vinci" cover issue was released in advance of its release, and related words surfaced in the "trending" section of the magazine. Within a few hours, it was sold out at all online bookstores. The magazine was also inundated with inquiries on October 6, the day of its release, and by five days after its release, it was almost completely sold out, leading to the announcement of an emergency reprint of the magazine (the first time this magazine has been reprinted since the emergency reprint of the "Naoki Matayoshi" issue in 2015, which won the Akutagawa Prize). (*The reprints are scheduled to arrive in stores in late October.)
This phenomenon, which seems to prove the endless popularity of "Osomatsu-san" and the popularity of male voice actors, has caused a stir on social networking sites every day.

What is noteworthy about this issue is the fact that the cover is adorned by the "voice actors" of the six children.
With the start of the second season, TV and anime magazines have featured the "six children" on their covers, but this is the first issue with all six voice actors on the cover. The editor in charge of the magazine said, "'Osomatsu-san' is a work that miraculously brought together six of the most talented and popular voice actors. The response we have received to this issue has made us believe that not only the work itself, but also the six voice actors themselves will be the focus of even more attention.

In addition to anime fans, "voice actors" are now broadening their horizons and gaining new fans.
Even after the second season of "Osomatsu-san" began airing, the popularity of "Osomatsu-san" is still going strong.
The voice actors who breathe life into this work will also be watched with great interest!
