Popular comic "Golden Kamui" to be adapted into a TV anime! Directed by Hitoshi Namba and produced by Geno Studio of "Slaughterhouse Organ

The popular comic "Golden Kamui," winner of the "Manga Grand Prize 2016" Grand Prize, will be adapted into an anime.

Golden Kamui" is a popular comic currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump by Satoru Noda. Set in Hokkaido at the end of the Meiji Era, the story follows the adventures of a former army soldier, Saichi Sugimoto, and an Ainu girl, Ashi (Ri-pa), who are after Ainu buried treasure. The work also features realistic depictions of Ainu culture, customs, and cuisine, making it an enjoyable piece of historical entertainment.

Along with the announcement of the TV anime adaptation of this work, staff information was also released. The director is Hitoshi Namba of "Fate/Grand Order -First Order-," the series composition is by Noboru Takagi of "Kuroko no Basketball," and the character design is by Kenichi Onuki, who worked as character drawing director on "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blood Orphens. The production will be solely handled by Jae's Studio, the studio that produced "Slaughterhouse Organ". Here are some comments from the main staff.

In addition, a collaboration project between Golden Kamui and Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo will be held!　On Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the 2017 Meiji Yasuda Seimei J1 League Section 34 "Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo vs. Sagan Tosu", a gorgeous competition between the two stories that take place in Hokkaido will be realized. Mr. Satoru Noda said that he was drawing the manga with the intention of "trying to make it into a movie, if you can do it," and I was boldly and recklessly chosen to direct the anime adaptation.
Of course, as Mr. Noda said, it is a troublesome work, but with a spirit of challenge, I will work together with the entire staff to challenge the broadcast regulations!
Sugimoto, Ashi (Lipa) and his friends are on a great adventure to find gold nuggets! Please look forward to the broadcast!
