Wacky Kaiyama's Latest Gacha Exploration Vol. 9: Men are Drooling! Ultimate Luminous Ultraman" that emits light with a luminous unit & the cutting-edge rubber gun "Rubber Band GUN Revolver Edition"!
Capsuleer Wacky Kaizan, who has spent most of his life with his GACHA-GACHA collection, will be reviewing the latest GACHA that he is interested in. Here is the start of the ninth installment!
No.19 Ultimate Luminous Ultraman 01-04 500 yen Bandai
This time, I'll be picking up capsule toys that will make the boys cry!
First of all, here it is! This is the "Ultimate Luminous Ultraman". The first series appeared in September last year. Since then, the series has continued, and now the fourth series has been released.
The idea behind this product is just amazing! Each bullet basically consists of an Ultraman figure and a building such as an apartment complex. When the "Luminous Unit", an LED light-emitting unit attached to the building, is set into Ultraman, the eyes and color timer of Ultraman emit light!
In "Ultraman," there are many famous scenes that are worthy of the term "battle to the death. The battle at dusk or at night is particularly memorable. I remember how cool it was to see the eyes and color timers lighting up in the darkness. I am more than happy to be able to reproduce those scenes with this product.
It is also wonderful that diorama play, which conventionally required the use of expensive structures such as N gauge, has been expressed in the world of inexpensive gacha! Dioramas tend to be a maniacal activity, but the fact that they have lowered the hurdle and made it possible for many people to enjoy them is truly appalling! You can feel the seriousness of the people in charge of development.
The developers have put a lot of effort into this game, including the production of a TV commercial, which is rare for capsule toys. Perhaps it is because of this that the product is gaining fans at such a rapid pace.
Let us introduce the product lineup.
The first two are Ultraman (B) and Ultraman Tiga in the Specium Ray pose. The second set features Ultraman Seven and Ultraman Dyna in fighting poses, and the third set features Ultraman Jack, the "New Man," the hero of our generation. And for the younger generation, there is Ultraman Zero. And in the fourth volume released in August this year, Ultraman Ace and Ultraman Mobius appeared. They appeal to a wide range of generations.
Incidentally, various lineups are available on Bandai's official shopping site "Premium Bandai," so be sure to check there as well!
As mentioned earlier, the "Ultimate Luminous Ultraman" is an excellent product that allows you to recreate famous and moving scenes in the palm of your hand by incorporating the "Luminous Unit" into the back, but in fact, the "Ultimate Solid" series released in 2006 and the "Ultimate Luminous Ultraman" series released in 2015 are also available. Ultraman Super Fighter Gekiden: New Chapter" capsule toys released in 2015. The "Ultraman Super Fighter Gekiden: New Chapter" in particular was an idea product in which the eyes and color timer made of clear parts appear to glow when the figure is illuminated from behind.
From there, we came up with the idea of reducing the number of LEDs, and with "Ultimate Luminous Ultraman" we succeeded in incorporating a small LED light-emitting unit into the figure itself. However, it was difficult to set it in the figure due to cost. To solve this problem, he commercialized apartment complexes and gas tanks that can be used in dioramas. By packaging the "Luminous Unit" in them, commercialization was realized.
However, Bandai did not compromise here. To ensure that the apartment complex can also be decorated with lights, it has a double-layered structure with separate windows and walls. I really had to take my hat off to Bandai for maintaining quality at the very edge while also keeping costs down.
When I was a boy, the "Warrior of the Land of Light," which I saw on TV, was really cool. I also felt the reality and warmth of the dimly lit buildings, and was completely glued to the CRT. This time, I actually made a diorama by myself. Looking at the finished product, I was reminded of the battle to the death between the Baltan aliens, Guts aliens, Knuckle aliens, giant Yapur and Ultraman that I was watching at that time.
At 500 yen per piece, compared to the market price of 200 yen per piece for gacha, it may seem expensive, but when you learn about the secret development story on the official website and actually hold the product in your hands, you will be surprised at the volume and satisfaction of the full coloring. I am impressed that they were able to produce such a great product at such a low price! I am impressed with the quality of the product at such a reasonable price.
I have high expectations for the future development of this product!
