The stage play "Weakushi Pedal" (also known as "Pedaste"), based on this popular title, has become the talk of the town for the exceptional directional techniques of up-and-coming director Shatner Nishida and the passionate performances of the talented actors.

In the sprint battle for the first result, a dead heat between Kaburaki of Sohoku and Dobashi of Hakone Gakuen unfolds, and just before entering the mountain stage, "ordinary man" Teshima takes the place of Sakamichi, who was held back by the group and sank to the back of the pack, and joins the battle for the red number on the summit. The "ordinary" Teshima took part in the battle for the summit red bib. The story of how Teshima challenges the "genius" climber Manami, who was sent by Hakone Gakuen, and the heated battle for the goal on the first day of the competition unfolds. The title of the film is also repeated in the heated battle between Sohoku and Hakone Gakuen on the first day of the inter-high school competition.
