Uesaka Sumire's first EP, which simultaneously includes the theme songs for two new fall TV shows!

Uesaka Sumire's new CD features two songs at the same time: "Riverside Lovers (Nara no Koi)," the ending theme for the second season of "Onikan no Reijutetsu" and "Antithesis Escape," the opening theme for "URAHARA. The CD also includes one more non-tie-in song. Sumipe, who has been singing songs that are not easy to sing, has added new masterpieces to her repertoire!

The first title suggestion was "Macho Mountain.

─ You call this CD "1st EP"?

Uesaka: Yes, you can think of it as the 9th single, but there are two anime theme songs, and we couldn't use one of them as the title song, so we decided to call it an EP. So it doesn't feel like the first one at all (laughs).

The title of the CD is also "Her Illusion," which is different from the song titles.

Uesaka I named it. At first I was going to call it "Macho Mountain (Muscle Mountain)," but the staff told me to reconsider, so I came up with the title "Her Illusion. I think I was able to make it an easy-to-remember title for the CD, since there are many songs in katakana this time, although it has moved away from muscles.

─ ─ What is "Macho Mountain"?

Uesaka: I feel that muscles and mountains are inseparable. When people think of mountains, they think of muscles. But unfortunately, we didn't have a mountain-themed song this time, so it was rejected. However, it did turn out to be the title of the 1st EP release event to be held at Tower Records Shibuya.

───What kind of idea did you have to come up with the word in the first place?

Uesaka: I don't know myself. It came from the release event of the previous single "Odorire! Kyukyoku Philosophy" release event, I announced the next CD. At that time, the title was still undecided, so I just said, "Macho Mountain," and that was the first thing I said.

─ ─ It's true, I don't know. Her Illusion" is easier to understand.

Uesaka: This time, all three songs feature girls, and I had fantastical images of hell and two dimensions, so the title summed it up. I thought of the title in accordance with the content of the CD.
