In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of "Revolutionary Girl Utena" broadcast, a Blu-ray box set is to be released!

The Blu-ray box set of "Revolutionary Girl Utena," which marks the 20th anniversary of its TV broadcast, will be released on November 15, 2017 (Wednesday).

Utena Revolutionary Girl" is an anime that depicts the fierce battle of those who fight for the "Rose Bride" that gives them the "power to revolutionize the world," which was first broadcast on TV in 1997. The surrealistic visual effects , including a play with shadow puppet girls, attracted much attention and left a rare presence in the animation world. The original story is by the original author group Bee Papas, led by Kunihiko Ikuhara, who later directed "Rinru Pink Drum" and "Yurikuma Arashi.

The "Utena Revolutionary Girl Complete Blu-ray BOX" to be released on November 15 (Wed.) combines the Blu-ray box set released in two volumes in 2013, and includes all 39 episodes of the TV series as well as the theater version "Utena Adolescence Revelation", non-credit OP & ED, non-credit OP & ED, cast interviews, and many other bonus videos are included. The previously released box set is still in short supply, with the first volume selling for over the regular price on Amazon, so this is good news for those who are considering purchasing it.

The booklet enclosed as a bonus is also more voluminous than the one released in 2013. It not only summarizes the previous contents, but also includes new original and copyrighted illustrations of famous scenes.
