Six unemployed NEET children support Japan! The "Osomatsu-san" project to support 47 prefectures in Japan without permission has begun!

The "Support Project for 47 Prefectures in Japan" started today to commemorate the broadcast of the second season of "Osomatsu-san.

Osomatsu-san" is an original anime created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the late Fujio Akatsuka's birth. Based on Fujio Akatsuka's explosive hit gag manga "Osomatsu-kun" published in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1962, "Osomatsu-san" depicts a future where the six children have grown up. It became a popular title thanks to its aggressive gags and parodies, the portrayal of the six children's diverse personalities, and the use of popular male voice actors. Even after the broadcast ended, the popularity of the series continued to grow, with major collaborations with convenience stores and JRA, game applications, stage adaptations, and a variety of other developments.

The "Japan Nationwide 47 Prefectures Self-Support Project" is a project in which the Matsuno family's six children support the 47 prefectures of Japan "without permission" through a variety of projects.

In each prefecture, the project plans to release newly-drawn illustrations of the six children with the motif of support, collect "Goshoin," original stickers designed for each locality (to be distributed and installed free of charge in local governments nationwide from winter 2017), produce and sell local "Matsu" goods, and have the six children visit the locality to support the locality. The project is scheduled to begin today with the launch of the six-piece "Matsu" project.

Today, when the project was launched, the "First Draft Meeting of the Self-Support Project" was held to decide which of the six children would support which area!　A video recording of the meeting, "The Draft Meeting of the Six Children in Charge of the 47 Prefectures," is also available for viewing.

At the Draft Conference, the six children carefully selected the six prefectures they would be in charge of by drawing lots from a box, and the areas throughout Japan were chosen to be in charge of supporting the project!

As a result, the six children were assigned to the following areas.

Osomatsu: Miyagi Prefecture / Kanagawa Prefecture / Ishikawa Prefecture / Nagano Prefecture / Mie Prefecture / Shimane Prefecture / Hiroshima Prefecture / Nagasaki Prefecture
Karamatsu: Fukushima Prefecture / Ibaraki Prefecture / Saitama Prefecture / Niigata Prefecture / Hyogo Prefecture / Ehime Prefecture / Miyazaki Prefecture
Choromatsu: Iwate / Akita / Tochigi / Toyama / Aichi / Osaka / Kochi / Oita
Ichimatsu: Hokkaido / Tokyo / Fukui / Gifu / Shiga / Nara / Yamaguchi / Saga
Jyushimatsu: Yamagata Prefecture / Gunma Prefecture / Yamanashi Prefecture / Kyoto Prefecture / Tottori Prefecture / Okayama Prefecture / Tokushima Prefecture / Kumamoto Prefecture
