Dies irae" is a "bizarre battle adventure game" created by PC game maker light. In 2015, a crowdfunding campaign was launched to support the anime project. The amount of support exceeded 90 million yen in two months and became a big topic of conversation.

Synopsis.

Episode 3 "The End of the Nightmare is the Beginning"

Rusalka, one of the demons, appears at the school. Ren is unable to grasp her true intentions as she talks to him as if she were an ordinary high school girl. Such bottomless eeriness erodes his daily life, andhis childhood friend, Ayase Kasumi, who was supposed to be with him all along, gradually begins to act strangely as well.
The two go out on the town to wipe away the ominous atmosphere. The moment she presents him with a caduceus pendant, Ren's consciousness goes dark. In her search for the lost Kajun, Ren unintentionally finds the murderer of a serial killer.
However, the identity of the murderer is unacceptable to Ren. ......
