The TV anime "Shinkage no Kyojin Season 3" will air in July 2018! In addition, it was announced that the third theater version, "Shinkage no Kyojin the Movie: Season 2 - The Roar of Awakening" will be released on January 13, 2018.
Shinkage no Kyojin" is an anime work based on the manga serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) by Hajime Isayama. Season 1 was broadcast from April to September 2013 and Season 2 from April to June 2017, and became a huge hit due to its overwhelming quality, including powerful action and tension-filled direction. The series gained popularity around the world, and a theatrical compilation and a live-action movie were also produced. General director is Tetsuro Araki, director is Masashi Hizuka, series composition is Yasuko Kobayashi, character design is Kyoji Asano, and music is Hiroyuki Sawano. Production is by WITSTUDIO.
At a special event for the TV anime "Shigeki no Kyojin Season 2," "'Shigeki no Kyojin' Reading & Live Event Orchestra 'Attack Sound Body Experience 2'" held at Tokyo International Forum Hall A on October 29, 2017 (Sunday), the TV anime "Shigeki no Kyojin Season 3" will air in July 2018! The event consisted of two alternating elements: an original story reading by the cast and a live performance of music from the play by Hiroyuki Sawano, who is in charge of the music for the film, and his supporting members.
The speakers at the event were Yuki Kaji as Eren, Yui Ishikawa as Mikasa, Marina Inoue as Armin, Noriaki Taniyama as Jean, Yu Kobayashi as Sasha, Eri Mikami as Krista, Hiro Shimono as Connie, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Reiner, Tomohisa Hashizume as Bertolt, Saki Fujita and Daisuke Ono playing Erwin. Also performing live were Hiroyuki Sawano and his supporting members, vocalists yosh, Gemie, mpi, and Aimee Blackscleger.
The event opened with a live performance by Mr. Sawano. The event started with a medley of songs including "APETITAN," which had a great impact in the Season 2 broadcast, and a total of four songs were performed, enveloping the audience in the world of the work. After the first live performance, Ms. Inoue's narration was played in the hall and the reading play by the cast members started. The content of the reading was the final scenes of Season 2 from each character's point of view, with the cast members switching from scene to scene, passionately acting out the emotions of the characters in tense situations. The live part and the reading part continued to alternate, and the live performance of 11 songs, including a gorgeous original story reading and a medley of songs, came to an end amidst the excitement and excitement of the audience.
