The anime is based on the PC game "Forhythm Beyond the Blue" by sprite. Set in a world where the invention of anti-gravity shoes has made it easier for people to fly, it is a coming-of-age story about girls who devote themselves to the new sky sport "Flying Circus". Directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki of "Utetama" and "Astarotte's Toys! and "Astarotte's Toy!", series composition by Reiko Yoshida of "Wimpy Pedal" and "Non no Biyori", and production by Gonzo.
