The key visual, PV, main character settings, and cast have been announced for "A Place Farther Than Space," which will start airing in January 2018.

Farther Than the Universe" is an original TV animation that depicts the adolescence of four girls who continue their journey to Antarctica, which is "farther than the universe," about 14,000 km away from Japan. The "No Game, No Life" anime team, including director Atsuko Ishizuka, series composition and script by Juki Hanada, and animation production by MADHOUSE, have teamed up again.

On November 8, the day in 1956 when the first Antarctic expedition set out for the South Pole aboard the observation ship Soya, the cast of the four high school girls who are the main characters in "A Place Farther Than Space" was announced!　The main character, Mari Tamaki, will be played by Inori Minase, Kana Hanazawa by Hose Obuchizawa, Hiroka Iguchi by Hyuga Miyake, and Saori Hayami by Yuzuki Shiraishi.

The theme of the film is the coming-of-age of four high school girls on a journey to the South Pole. The PV released along with the cast information shows Mari and her classmate Hose running toward the icebreaker "Shirase" that will carry the Antarctic observation team.

Tamaki Mari CV: Minase Inori
The main character of this work, a second-year high school student. She is bright, energetic, and good-natured, and her friends love her, but she is not good at being the center of the group or a leader. She is curious, but at the same time timid and petty, and is torn between what she wants to do and what she ends up not doing.

Kobuchizawa Shirase CV: Hanazawa Kana

A second-year high school student at the same school as Mari. She is a beautiful girl with waking black hair, but sheis shy and a talkative person. When she does open her mouth, she is easily misunderstood and speaks in a hateful manner. She has few friends and is treated as a freak at school, earning her the nickname "Nankyoku" (South Pole) behind her back.

Miyake Hinata CV:Yuka Iguchi

She is curious and hates boredom. Friendly and small in stature, she is like a boy in elementary school who can easily make friends with anyone. She hates to be left out of the group, and is the type of girl who jumps into people's arms and gets along with them.

Yuzuki Shiraishi CV:Saori Hayami
A first-year high school student, one year younger than Mari and the others. She lives in Hokkaido. She has been working as a child actor due to her mother's policy. Her mental age is high, probably because she has been working since childhood. She is polite and friendly, but she always seems to think she is unhappy and complains a lot.
