Fans of "Five Star Stories" went wild! GTM's first 3D model "Kaiserin" at the screening event of the movie "Flower Poetess Gothic Made

On Sunday, November 5, 2017, a screening event was held at TOHO Cinemas Ueno to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the release of the movie "Hana no Utame: Gothic Made".

The anime film "Hana no Utame: Gothic Made" is an original science fiction robot anime written, directed, scripted, storyboarded, laid out, and drawn by Mamoru Nagano, a mecha designer known for "Five Star Story".

On November 5 (Sun.), a screening event was held at TOHO Cinemas Ueno to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the release of the movie "Hana no Utame: Gothic Made. After the screening, Mamoru Nagano, who wrote the original story, screenplay, storyboard, and directed the film, and voice actors Maria Kawamura (as Verin, the poetess) and Nozomi Sasaki (as Prince Toriharon) took the stage, and items related to "Five Star Story" were also announced.

Gothic Made" (hereinafter referred to as "GTM"), which was launched with the movie "Hana no Utame: Gothic Made" and an episode from the 13th volume of the "Five Star Stories" comic book collection.
At the event, a sample of the first three-dimensional object in this GTM series, a fully movable three-dimensional model fully supervised by Mamoru Nagano, was shown for the first time. The "Kaiserin" appears in the film as the GTM piloted by Toriharon, the third prince of the Danube Empire.

Director Nagano, who appeared on the talk show, said, "Up until now, the resin kits for 'Five Star Stories' have been of high quality and have required a very high level of skill from the modelers. This "Kaiserin" is not only of overwhelming quality, but also can be assembled by anyone. I am also pleased with the fact that it is sturdy enough to not only be displayed and admired, but also to be picked up and played with." commented Mr. Sasaki.

Kutani-yaki porcelain made in collaboration with "Five Star Stories" was also unveiled on stage, and voice actors Maria Kawamura and Nozomi Sasaki commented, "It's wonderful," "I want one! I want to have this! The audience was excited to share the "enthusiasm" of GTM, which has been growing even more exciting since the 5th anniversary of the movie's release, with the fans gathered at the event.

The most noteworthy feature of the "Kaiserin" announced this time is that it is a fully articulated 3D model fully supervised by Mamoru Nagano. The "twin swing" and other joint mechanisms presented in the GTM design have been fully reproduced, and can be easily assembled by anyone without the need for special tools, craft techniques, or painting.

The collaboration between Kutani ware, which has a history of 360 years since its opening, and the epic fantasy "Five Star Stories" was also revealed.
The high skills of Kutani Yaki craftsmen have beautifully reproduced the design of "Five Star Stories".
