High-tension live performance with "Kitaeri-ness" in full bloom! Eri Kitamura's solo live "Nightmare † Alive 2017" report

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, popular voice actress Eri Kitamura held her solo live "Nightmare † Alive 2017.

This one-man live was held at Katsushika Symphony Hills Mozart Hall, a venue where orchestra concerts are often held. At a recent event, the band had said that they wanted to hold a live performance that told a story, taking advantage of the venue's reserved seating.

A special arranged version of the song was performed, which was only possible on this day!

Eri Kitamura herself had written the atmospheric "Kagenare," which drew the audience into a different world from the one they were used to, and then the sound of a violin filled the air. The band joined in, and the audience's powerful voices roared out. Amidst this intense performance, Kitaeri appeared in a crimson dress singing "arcadia † paroniria" cheerfully.

The drums and bass continued to beat a powerful rhythm, the guitars raged as if singing, and the sound of church music created a sense of mass ...... suddenly hit a symphonic metal sound, and then a solemn keyboard sound echoed. Revolution [re:i]". The Kitaerists also gave their all, shouting "Trust [re:i]! and the call and response was perfect as the curtain rose on the live performance.

She immediately started laughing and declared, "I started 《Nightmare † Alive》 with the idea of making a live performance of songs that are usually loved by the audience with a different atmosphere, sound and voice. At this point, it was announced that in addition to TMS Music, "Rockan Music," a music label formed by TAICHIKU Entertainment and ZERO-A, a label specializing in anime and voice actors, would be joining Mr. Kitamura's solo project. Everyone was surprised by the sudden announcement, but "I have to show them that Kitamura is not out of business, so I'm counting on you guys! Kitamura stirred up the floor with his usual tone. This MC's ability to move in and out of the venue at will is genius.

From there, the audience clapped their hands to the shuffle beat of "TiCK TACK" from the latest single, which got the audience fully excited.

Kitaeri sat down on a chair and said, "This time, I'd like to sing in a way that will make you say, 'Oh, wow! I'd like to sing a song that will make you say, "Oh, wow! After a brief exchange of words, the song began with a special arrangement. The live favorites sounded like completely different songs: "Balayuri xxxxx" was arranged as a groovy song that one could groove to comfortably, and "Koi Kahi" was transformed from a Japanese rock song into a quiet ballad. In addition, "+×+×+ 荊棘 +×+×+," which she had previously said, "I was thinking about how to present it at the next concert," was a refreshing pop song with a nice acoustic guitar groove. The lyrics of this song were written about how it felt to be able to sing again, but he added, "I want to make this song somehow refreshing. I have been in contact with many people this year, and I want to deliver the arrangement with the feelings I have now that I have received a happy response," and that is how this version came about. It is only at a live concert with a live band that you can hear the song in such an unexpected arrangement. With the help of the excellent backing band, the concert space was made possible only at this venue.

The event was full of surprises, including the formation of a fan club, a new song, and a new single!

The band then performed "Miracle Premonition," "DiVE to GiG - K - AiM," and "K'T'E'R x M'O'D'E," a series of songs that brought the audience together. After that, the band members took their solos to get the audience gutsy, and from there a heavy intro played. Then Kitaeri reappeared from the stage!　He sang "FORTiTUDE" to further increase the already high enthusiasm of the audience. He seemed to really want to give the audience a break, shouting "Are you out of your mind? while singing "Melt ~Yami Cute~" and "EDEN" with her ever-changing voice.

As a big announcement, she announced the launch of her official fan club "KITAERI mix," saying, "I'm going to do something I've never done before. She also announced the release of a new single in January 2018, and immediately sang two coupling songs.

Both songs, "fairy ∞ world" and "ViViD DESiRE," were written by Kitamura, with beautiful, slow melodies amidst an intense sound.

The live show would not be complete without a rousing rendition of this song, and I was glad to hear a different arrangement of it! The last song of the show was the original version of "Balayuri xxxxx," which had just been performed in a different arrangement. The live ended with a speedy and lively performance with the audience cheering for more. The night's story came to an end with the song "Kagenare" playing again, reminding the audience to join the fan club and buy the single.

The live performance was different from the standing concert, and the audience was able to enjoy the powerful sound of the band. Kitaeri is still preparing for more fun next year. We eagerly await new announcements, including the lead song of a new single, which we were unable to hear at the concert.
