Broadcast information, additional cast members, introductory story, character information and settings, the first PV, and information on advance screenings of the TV anime "Basilisk: Sakurabana Ninpocho" have all been released.

Basilisk" was adapted from Futaro Yamada's novel "Koga Ninpocho" into a TV anime in 2005. The shocking plot of the story, in which Koga Gennosuke of the Koga Manjidani-shu and Iga Oboro of the Iga Tsubagakure-shu, who are enemies but in love with each other, fall in love with each other and finally commit suicide, became the talk of the town.

The TV anime "Basilisk: Sakurabana Ninpocho," which will start airing in January 2018 after a 13-year absence, is based on "Sakurabana Ninpocho: Basilisk New Chapter" by Masaki Yamada. The story features two siblings, Kouga Hachiro and Iga Hibiki, children of Kouga Gennosuke and Iga Oboro. In July of this year, it was announced that a new chapter will be adapted into a TV anime, which has become a hot topic. It was announced that the main characters will be played by Yu Hatanaka as Hachiro Kouga and Inori Minase as Hibiki Iga. It was also announced that the opening theme will be performed by Onmyoza and the ending theme by Nana Mizuki, as in the previous work "Kouga Ninpocho".

Broadcast information, additional cast members, introduction story, character information and settings, the first PV, and information on advance screenings have all been released.

The newly announced cast consists of 13 people: young ninjas from Koga and Iga who support the two and an antagonist force that emerges with overwhelming power. The cast includes Shinichiro Miki, Kaori Nazuka, Yui Horie, and Takaya Doji.
The first PV released at the same time shows the vigorous scenes of the ninjas together with Hachiro and Hibiki, and the narration at the beginning is by Nana Mizuki, who played Iga Oboro in Kouga Ninpocho.

Hachiro and Hibiki, who are the two masters of the Kouga Five Treasures and Iga Five Flowers, are destined to be bound together in order to leave behind stronger blood and power, but what fate will befall them and the ninjas of Kouga and Iga in the face of a powerful enemy? The anime is full of unique developments, so be sure to keep an eye on it.

For those who want to be among the first to see it, an advance screening of episodes 1 and 2 will be held on December 29 (Fri.), so be sure to check it out as well.
