The best album "apple feuille" by Ayana Taketatsu, with songs from the past 5 years layered like mille-feuille.

Ayana Taketatsu, celebrating her 5th anniversary as a solo artist, will release her first best album "apple feuille". The songs were voted by fans and arranged according to their ranking, from No. 14 "♪ no Kuni no Alice" to No. 1 "Rice to Meat Choo", and the only new song, "apple*colorful*princess", the national anthem of the fan club "Ayana Dukoku", is included. It is truly a best-of album created together with fans.
In this interview, we asked her to look back on her 5 years of running as an artist, as well as to talk about her new songs and her aspirations for her live performance in February next year!

This is a flashy album with high-calorie songs!

─ Was the release of the best album done with the 5th anniversary of your debut as an artist in mind?

Taketatsu: Yes, it was a good time for a break. I had created so many songs that I could make a best album, so I thought it would be better to put them all together here (laughs).

(laughs) ─ For the sake of your fans?

Taketatsu I hope so.

─ ─ But the songs for the best album were decided by fan vote, right?

Taketatsu That's right. I always wanted to decide together when the time came to make the best album, so I am glad that my wish came true.

───The results were announced live on Nico Nico Live, weren't they? It was very exciting.

Taketatsu: It was the first time for me to do a Nico Nico Live broadcast in front of an audience, so it was a lot of fun. I had more adrenaline than usual. I was more adrenaline-fueled than usual. I felt my back tense because everyone had come to see me.

─ What did you think about the final ranking?

What did you think about the final ranking? For my part, I thought it could have been a bit more maniacal (laughs). (laughs) I was happy to see that the single songs had such a strong presence in everyone's hearts.

─ Was there any song that you were surprised to see ranked in the top ten?

Taketatsu: "Lucky Chune," which came in at No. 9, was quite unexpected. It is a coupling song of a single, so I don't feel that it plays a leading role. Of course, it gets a lot of excitement at live performances, but it made me realize how big of a presence it had become among the audience.

─ ─ It is a very energetic song, isn't it?

Yes, it is, and it is energetic on the CD as well, but when played live with the band, the song becomes even more flashy, so I thought everyone was pleased with it.

───The song that won first place was "Rice and Meat.

Taketatsu: I was relieved because I thought "Rice and Meatoo" would win first place, as it is always sung at important parts of live performances. During the voting process, I was talking with Shuntaro Kobayashi, who composed the song, about "What if this doesn't make the list?" We thought it was a popular song, and we had been working on it for a long time. (Laughs) I am glad it made it to No. 1 without incident.

─ ─ Mr. Kobayashi is also your live bandmaster, and you have known each other for a long time, haven't you?

Yes, I have known him since our debut song "Sinfonia! and I trust him a lot. I am an amateur musician, so there are a lot of things I don't understand, but Shuntaro-san always takes what I want to do and gives it shape and makes my wishes come true.

─ You are the person who has been supporting Mr. Taketatsu's music for a long time.

Taketatsu: He knows a lot about music, and he is a kind and good-natured man. Actually, I'm going to have a party with Shuntaro-san and his friends today to celebrate the completion of the album. We are going to eat meat together (laughs).

─ I guess it's meat to celebrate, isn't it (laughs)? The release date of the album is also very easy to understand: November 29, a good meat day.

Taketatsu: We had discussed the idea of releasing the album in November from early on, and Pony Canyon helped us to make it happen by arranging the release on a good meat day.

─ ─ In the best album, the first song is "♪ no Kuni no Alice" (No. 14), and from there to No. 1, "Rice and Meat Kyu," the songs are arranged in order of ranking. I felt that the songs flowed very well, even though they were in the same order.

Taketatsu Thank you very much. There was a plan to put "Rice and Meatyoo" as the first song, but I thought it would be better to put it last.

─ ─ What did you think when you listened to all the songs in this order?

Taketatsu: "I'm busy! I thought (laughs). (Laughs) There are a lot of high-calorie songs, so I'm glad that people don't get tired of listening to them.

─ ─ It is true that there are a lot of flashy songs from the beginning, but the fifth song, "Yumeiro Soleil," gives you a moment of relief, doesn't it?

Taketatsu That's right. It's a cute, fluffy song. But then comes "Rakkyun♪" (laughs). (Laughs.) Please calm down again with "Rodent Apple," and then get excited with "Little*Lion*Heart. There are a lot of ups and downs in the middle section.

─ ─ The 11th song "Sinfonia! and the 12th song, "HIKARI," are also parts where you can relax.

Taketatsu "HIKARI" is the only ballad on the album, and I think it closes the whole flow. After that, it's like, "Eat some meat! (laughs).

Calorie Queen" and "Rice and Meat" are the 13th and 14th tracks, respectively (laughs).

Taketatsu Those are two songs that will fill your stomach.
