A new "Shinkage no Kyojin" world emerged with music! Linked Horizon Live Tour 2017 "Shinkage no Kiseki" Final Performance Report

On November 9 and 10, 2017, the final shows of the "Linked Horizon Live Tour 2017 'Shinku no Kiseki'" took place over two days in Kawasaki.

Linked Horizon's live events include the "Revo Linked BRAVELY DEFAULT Concert" in 2012 when Revo, the leader of LH, performed the theme song and background music for the game "BRAVELY DEFAULT," and the 2013 talk and live event This will be the first time since the "March to Freedom" held as a

The music world that Revo created on his own as Linked Horizon

Linked Horizon (hereafter LH) is a project by sound creator Revo, who has sung theme songs for the first and second seasons of the "Shinkage no Kyojin" anime, as well as the movie version. This national tour was under the theme of the album "Shinkage no Kiseki" released by LH, and after leaving the Ichihara Civic Hall on July 8, 2017, the group performed 30 shows in 19 locations throughout Japan plus 4 shows in 2 overseas locations until Kawasaki this time via Taiwan and Hong Kong, traveling through various regions just like the Scout Regiment from "Shinkage no Kyojin".

This tour was by no means a concert that only performed the theme songs and accompaniments of "Shin-Geki," nor was it a live tour by LH, the artist in charge of the theme songs for the "Shin-Geki no Kyojin" anime. Although written as the final concert, the tour has yet to accept its end, and it has been announced that the "Tracks of the March" concert will take place on January 13 and 14, 2018 at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan, with a triumphant return. Fans of "Shinkage no Kyojin" who have not yet experienced "Shinkage no Kiseki" are urged not to miss this good opportunity to attend. This is because the "Tracks of the March" tour has been made into an official parody comic by the original author, Hajime Isayama, with Saki Nakagawa as the illustrator, "Shinkage! Kyojin Chugakko (Junior High School for the Giants)," and the previous anime works that director Tetsuro Araki has produced hand in hand with WIT STUDIO, as well as numerous spin-offs such as light novels and games. Fans of "The Progress of the Colossal Titan" will be anxious to see it, and I think they will be more than satisfied with their expectations.

However, Revo was also self-deprecating at the Kawasaki show, saying, "Like you, I read the manga on my own.

Like everyone else, I read the manga on my own, imagined it on my own, and the only difference is that I made the CD on my own."

In other words, Revo is simply expressing "Shinkage no Kyojin" through his music "without permission. While the album "Tracks of the Marching Titans" is based on the theme of "The Marching Titans," it is still an LH album, and is neither an image album of comics nor a collection of anime soundtracks. In other words, the "Tracks of the March" tour is a live version of the "Tracks of the March" album, which is a musical adaptation of the "Marching Titans" world. Revo himself is the leader of the group, which is called "Chain Horizon Group" (a combination of Linked Horizon and the Scout Regiment), and the tour is based on the concept of touring the branches scattered around the world. What you experience at the live venues is definitely the world of "Shin-Geki no Kyojin," but that is a "self-serving" interpretation that Revo has created in his mind. I would like to ask Revo how he would accept his interpretation of the world.

However, Revo's "march" songs and shows show a strong will to arrive at an interpretation that he, as a fan of "march," can only confront to his peers. The song list for all shows (except for the encore songs) is the same, and the song order is based on the "Shinkage no Kiseki" album (regular edition) (the coupling song "If inside this wall is a house" from the single "Jiyu e no Shinkage" is inserted between M-1 and M-2), which is also an indication of the fact that Revo has already realized the perfection of expressing "Shinkage no Kyojin" through the songs. The album is also a proud expression of the completion of the "Shin-Geki no Kyojin" theme through its music.
