Staff Comments
Original story: Kugane Maruyama's comment
The first season of Overlord started in July 2015.
The second season started in January 2018.
It has been two years and a half since the first season started.
That is a long time.
But we are now completing a work that will be worthy of those who have waited that long time. Maruyama's eyes have confirmed it.
We hope you will be able to see it with your own eyes as well!
As a side note, when I heard that ......so-bin-san was going to draw down the ending illustrations as he did in the previous term
When I said, "Please use Krush for all of them," I was immediately rejected by the producer.
Too bad!

Director's Comment
Ladies and gentlemen, the second season is here! It's the second season. A second season!
Who would have imagined it? Well, I didn't, anyway.
Because, you know, that's how it is.
There are countless works that have been animated only at the beginning of a long original story and then abandoned.
And the main character is Hone, Hone!
And the continuation of the story is about a lizard, a lizard!
I thought it would not be good to end abruptly, so I added a scene from the second volume of the original as an epilogue to the last episode (this is important), and I dared to include a scene with insufficient explanation so that those who had to make a sequel would not be troubled in case they had to do so. I never imagined that I would immediately receive an offer for a sequel after the film was finished.
Fortunately, there was an interval in the film version, so I took advantage of it and eliminated some of the inconvenient parts that would not lead to the continuation of the film.
If you are wondering if there was such a scene in the movie, please watch the theater version compilation. I'm just advertising.
And now, the second season.
It's a lizard.
It's bad. In many ways.
Once you get over that, you're immediately into the Kingdom.
This is also bad.
I'm also very excited to see how it will turn out.
Please look forward to it!
