BEATLESS" cast includes Nao Higashiyama, Amamiya Ten, and more!　Newly-drawn visuals and the latest PV will also be released!

The latest information from "BEATLESS," which will begin broadcasting in January 2018, was released at AFA (Anime Festival Asia).

BEATLESS" is a boy meets girl story about "humans" and "things" written by science fiction writer Toshi Hase, who won the 35th Japan Science Fiction Grand Prize for "My Humanity" (Hayakawa Bunko JA) and continues to create detailed and magnificent worldviews, including novelizations of the "Metal Gear" series. The director is Seiji Mizushima, who has received overwhelming support for his works such as "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" and "Expelled From Paradise. The original character design is an illustration by the fictional artist "EGOIST," and the unique atmosphere and unconventional expression of the illustrations in "Guilty Crown" and the animated films "Empire of the Corpse," "Harmony," and "Slaughterhouse Organ," all of which were written by Keisuke Ito, have received high praise both in Japan and abroad. The series will begin airing on MBS/TBS/BS-TBS "Anime-ism" on January 12, 2018 (Friday).

A special stage event featuring "BEATLESS" was held at the Anime Festival Asia (AFA) in Singapore. Director Seiji Mizushima took the stage and revealed a variety of the latest information.

First, a teaser visual newly drawn by redjuice was unveiled.
Leicia is equipped with the "Black Monolith," a variable device with a powerful quantum computer. This equipment has enormous power to change the world, and it foreshadows a big battle to come, but it also shows the beauty of Leicia, who is calm and collected no matter what the situation.

The latest PV was also unveiled at the event!
The main character, Arato Endo's daily life is drastically changed when he meets the android Leisia, who is far superior to humans... A "science fiction boy meets girl" set 100 years in the future... A "human" against a "thing" without a soul. The film shows what kind of relationship "humans" should have with "things" and foreshadows various events that will occur in the future in a quiet everyday landscape.

In addition, the cast of five androids called "hIE," with performance capabilities that would astonish the world, has been announced!
Nao Higashiyama plays the role of "Lacia," a transparently beautiful tool "yet to be revealed to humans," whom Arato Endo meets by chance and signs a contract with as her owner.

Misako Tomioka plays the role of "Benika," a tool with red hair and red eyes that is used to "win the competition against humans.
Hiromi Igarashi played the role of "Snowdrop," a tool for "consigning evolution" in the form of a young maiden.
Shino Shimoji played the role of "Saturn," a tool for "creating the environment," with flaxen hair and brown eyes.
Amamiya Ten plays the role of "Metode," a tool "to expand human beings" that has been given a "form" that clearly indicates it is a machine.

Red hair and red eyes, a tool "to win the competition with humans.
Her weapon, the device "Blood Prayers," has a laser oscillator larger than a tank's main gun attached to the back of a large blade.

I am very nervous because this is a type of character I have never played before.

I was really worried about what to do. I was really worried about what to do, but Benika seemed to be having a lot of fun with her ever-changing facial expressions, so I decided to have fun too! I went into the audition thinking, "I'm going to do my best to be what I think Benika is! I went into the audition thinking, "Let's do what I think of Benika with all my heart! I was nervous (laugh).
Of course the story is interesting, but I think all the characters are very attractive. Please look forward to meeting these characters as the story begins! I will do my best!

A tool as a "consignee of evolution," she is clad in a white one-piece dress and has the appearance of a young child.
She scatters white flower petals created by the device "Emerald Harmony" all around her, and then she attaches the petals to an electronic machine, taking over its functions.

Personally, I think it is interesting that we humans can express the fact that Snowdrop is a "thing" while it is so human-like that it could be mistaken for an hIE person.

A tool "for creating the environment" with flaxen hair and brown eyes.
She carries a "Gold Weaver," a hand-cranked sewing machine-like device that is over one meter long.

I am Shino Shimoji and I will be playing the role of Saturnus.

I am nervous about jumping into the world of science fiction and playing a non-living thing called hIE, but at the same time I am excited.
The original story is a novel, so I can only imagine what it will be like when it is made into an animation. I am very much looking forward to it.
I will give it my all in the postrecording.

With orange hair, she is a tool as "an extension of human beings," given a "form" that clearly identifies her as a machine.
