An official report from the stage greeting held on November 26 with Yui Ogura (who plays Kokona) and director Yusuke Yamamoto on stage has arrived from the "YAMANOSUME Omoide Present" event currently being screened.

Yamano Susume" was broadcast from January to March 2013 as an anime work depicting mountain climbing by high school girls. The first season of the series was a five-minute short anime with a connected storyline and heartwarming episodes, and it became popular for the pilgrimage events to sacred places around Hanno City in Saitama Prefecture, where the series was set. The second season, which aired from July to December 2014, was significantly scaled up to two 15-minute episodes and was well received by fans.
An OVA release and event screening was held at a fan meeting at the sacred Hanno Civic Hall on Saturday, June 3, 2017, followed by the announcement of a third TV anime season in 2018, and an event screening of "Yamanosume Omoide Present" has been held since Saturday, October 28, 2017.

Yamanosume Omoide Present" has been held as an event screening since October 28 (Sat). A stage greeting to commemorate the blockbuster hit was held at Aeon Cinema Ebina in Kanagawa on Sunday, November 26. The stage greeting titled "Kokona no Omoide Present" featured Yui Ogura, who plays Kokona, and director Yusuke Yamamoto. Here is a report on the first of the two performances.

Ms. Ogura and Director Yamamoto took the stage in front of a packed audience. Ogura, who said he had not been to Ebina very often, commented that he was glad to see so many fans in attendance. Director Yamamoto looked back on the all-night screenings and opening night stage appearances held over the past month during which the event screenings were held and said, "I had many opportunities to speak in front of fans, but I enjoyed every meeting and realized that I could talk a lot about "Yamanosumé". When asked about the appeal of "Yamanosume," Ogura said that because of the detailed depiction of the friendship and relationships between the characters, it would be interesting to focus more on friendship, as in this film. Director Yamamoto responded, "It might be possible to make an interesting work just with the characters eating mandarin oranges over the kotatsu.

Director Yamamoto commented, "Actually, I climbed a mountain yesterday and the day before yesterday, so my legs are really sore right now. It would be easier if I sat down, but it takes courage to sit down," he said, eliciting laughter.

The stage greeting was a lively and successful one to the end, with a gift drawing and the announcement of the jacket illustration for the regular edition of "Yamanosume" on Blu-ray.

The jacket illustration, newly drawn by character designer Yusuke Matsuo, features Hinata smiling in the center of the illustration.
