The TV anime "Fate/EXTRA Last Encore" is based on the "Fate/EXTRA" game series, which is based on the world of the popular "Fate" series. The main character, a student at Tsukkaihara Academy, is to participate in the "Holy Grail War" for the object equivalent to the "Holy Grail," the universal desire machine, but he nearly dies in the final stage of the qualifying round. However, he is saved by a Servant who sees his will not to give up until the end and contracts him as a Master. He then advances to the main competition of the Holy Grail War, where he battles a variety of opponents.
