A super giant "Mazinger Z" appeared!  Here is a report on the Japan premiere event featuring Morikubo, Uesaka, Park, and other splendid voice actors!

The TV animation broadcast in the 1970s recorded the highest viewer rating of 30.4%, and also gained a large number of fans in various parts of the world. Mazinger Z" is a manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha) by Go Nagai in 1972, and can be said to be the originator of the combined/riding giant robot animation series. It can be said to be the originator of the giant robot animation of the combined/boarding type.

The completely new theatrical anime "Mazinger Z: Infinity the Movie" will be released in theaters on January 13, 2018 (Saturday).


The film's advance screenings in Italy, France, and other countries have been a topic of conversation, and on December 3, 2017 (Sun), about a month before its release in Japan, a Japan premiere event was held at "Wald 9" in Shinjuku. Shotaro Morikubo (Kouji Kabuto), Sumire Uesaka (Lisa), Natsuki Hanae (Shiro Kabuto), Romi Park (Baron Ashura, female), Hiroyuki Miyasako (Baron Ashura, male), Okazu Club (Mazengirls), Ocarina and Yui P appeared on stage. They talked about the appeal of this work in front of a giant Mazinger Z on the stage.

When asked how she felt about her role in this work, Morikubo, who plays the main character Kouji Kabuto, said, "I am very happy to be a part of such a work that even if I did not see it in real time, I still remember the songs and the names of the techniques. The original Kabuto Kouji actor, Hiroya Ishimaru, also participated in the film as a different character, and when Morikubo said hello to him during post recording, he was told by the humorous Ishimaru that he had "forgotten. However, he was firmly advised to "play Kabuto the way you think he should be played," and his big words gave him a boost.

When asked about "Mazinger Z," Uesaka, who plays Lisa, the original heroine of the film, said that she knew of this work from the manga, "a brilliant Showa-era robot work," and that she tried to "play Lisa in my own way. Although Lisa is an android, she said she tried to portray the image of a naive and innocent girl who does not look like an android.

Natsuki Hanae, who plays Shiro Kabuto, Kouji's younger brother, said he was surprised at how "cool and grown up" Shiro was. He said that he was surprised at how "cool and grown up" Shiro had become. He said that he was conscious of the calmness of an adult while retaining the image of a bad boy.

Next, the popular "Mazinger Z" character "Baron Ashura" was played by Ms. Rumi Park on the female side, and on the male side by Mr. Toru Hotaruhara, who made the audience laugh when he talked about his partner, "I don't get along at all with the guy who is always standing next to me. The male side was Hiroyuki Miyasako of Ameagari Kesshitai, who made the audience laugh by saying that he and his partner Toru Hotarubara "don't always get along. The two men revealed that they had actually recorded the scene at the same time, which is rare for an anime production. They were in perfect sync with each other as they delivered the line, "My name is Baron Ashura!

And the sexy (?) director of the film, Yui P. of Okazu Club, and Hiroyuki Miyasako. Yui P. and Ocarina from Okazu Club confirmed each other's sexy performance before recording. They were supposed to charm the audience ...... with their sexy line "boobie missiles," but the audience laughed and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The event was held on December 3, the very day "Mazinger Z" was first broadcast 45 years ago! To celebrate the birth of the "Mazinger Z" legend, a custom-made, oversized cake was presented at the event, to the surprise of the fans gathered at the venue.


Morikubo said, "It feels special to be able to hold a premium event on a day like this." The anime film "Mazinger Z: Infinity the Movie" will open in theaters on January 13, 2018 (Saturday).
