Mai Fuchigami: "It was far more powerful than I had imagined" *Additional photo of the stage greeting on 12/18/2017
The first day of the first stage greeting for "Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter, Episode 1" was held on December 9, 2017. Mai Fuchigami, who plays the main character Miho Nishizumi, members of Oarai Girls' Academy, and artists gathered at Shinjuku Wald 9, the venue of the event. They talked about the final chapter of the film, which has finally begun.
The TV anime "Girls und Panzer" began broadcasting in 2012, and "Girls und Panzer the Movie," which was released in 2015, recorded a long run of more than a year, and has entered its final chapter with the momentum of the series still intact.
At Shinjuku Wald 9, the fastest screening was held at exactly midnight on the first day of its release. Although the screening was held at Theater 9, which boasts the largest capacity, it was so successful that more than 400 seats were sold out. Balto 9 screened "The Final Chapter" a total of 15 times on the first day alone, and many of those screenings were so well attended that the seats were full. It seems that many fans were eagerly awaiting the new film, the first new film in about two years.
The screening at 9:45 was followed by the first day's greetings from the stage. In the lobby before the screening, some fans enjoyed taking pictures of the posters and tucking into the collaborative menu at the cafe corner.
The event started with the screening of the main film. From the first cut, the unexpected turn of events, typical of "Galpan," took the audience by surprise, and the comical scenes drew laughter from the audience. Of course, the fierce battle with BC Jiyu Gakuen, the first round opponent, was also a lot of fun. After the end roll, the audience spontaneously applauded, and fans were very satisfied with the film's performance.
Mai Fuchigami playing Miho Nishizumi, Ai Chino playing Saori Takebe, Mami Ozaki playing Hana Isuzu, Ikumi Nakagami playing Yukari Akiyama, Yuka Iguchi playing Asako Reizei, and theme song artist Sahana Sasaki took the stage after the screening. The cast members appeared in Oarai Women's Academy pantser jackets, and Sasaki in the gold dress she wore in the PV of the theme song "Grand symphony," creating a glamorous atmosphere in the hall. The talk show was moderated by Shiori Izawa, who plays Midoriko Sono.
Fuchigami commented on his impressions of the film, saying, "It was far more powerful than I had imagined. He frankly stated that he was shocked by the impact of the images and sound, which were worthy of the big screen. The cast members are anxious to see what will happen in the second episode, but they have not yet received the rest of the scenario. I can't imagine what's going to happen next! I can't wait to see what happens next! I can't wait to see what happens next! Izawa commented, "You're just as excited as the audience," to which the audience laughed.
The most talked-about feature of the show was the new OP animation. The characters of "Galpan" all appear in the animation, and their expressions and gestures are cute. The cast members were imagining the future development of the show, saying, "Maybe the OP is a foreshadowing of what is to come. ......," which showed that they were enjoying "Galpan" as well. The theme song for the OP was written by Sasaki herself. Sasaki confessed that she named the song "Grand Symphony" to mean "a symphony in which everyone's thoughts and feelings overlap. She also shared her thoughts on how she wanted to depict the friendship and bonds that are typical of "Galpan" first and foremost.
The Ankou team members were surprised when he revealed that he had read the rest of the scenario ahead of time in order to write down the lyrics. The members of the Ankou team were surprised when he revealed that he had read the rest of the scenario before writing the lyrics. The second half of the show featured the "final chapter," which was followed by the "last chapter" of the show.
In the latter half of the show, it was announced that "Girls und Panzer: The 63rd National High School Girls' Road Vehicle Tournament", a compilation of the TV series and OVA "Battle of Anzio" that was produced prior to the "Final Chapter", will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 23, 2018. It is said to be a worthwhile listening experience with approximately two hours of character commentary.
When it was announced that the "Girls und Panzer Exposition, " an exhibition of original artwork that will be held from December 23, will feature a lineup of 71 types of acrylic key chains as special merchandise, the number of items on display was surprisingly large. The series' first large-scale exhibition of original artwork will also be an exciting event.
In closing, Fuchigami said, "The final chapter has just begun, and I think we will still be together for a long time. But somewhere in a corner of my mind, I am beginning to feel a sense of loneliness, wondering how many more times I will be able to greet you on this stage. I believe that the story will continue to get more exciting from here on out. I hope you will look forward to the future of "Galpan" and support us. Then, to her call of "Se-no," the entire audience shouted "Panzer Four! and the entire audience shouted "Panzerfor! The opening day greetings closed with applause and cheers from the audience.
