Many new songs were performed! Report on "Wake Up, Girls! Festa.2017 TRINITY" where idols gave a three-way performance!

The fourth annual "Wake Up, Girls!" winter Makuhari event was held again this year on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall!

This is an annual festival where all the idol units that appear in the works perform, and this year's performers included Wake Up, Girls! Minami Tsuda, Kaori Fukuhara, Satomi Aksaka, Kiyono Anno, Rena Ueda), and Next Storm (Yuka Otsubo, Chika Yasu, Marika Takano, Mao Amatsuka). 3" will be released on March 28, 2018.

Three units performed wildly in Makuhari!

(hereafter referred to as "WUG"), the WUG members sang in various foreign languages in the prelude video "Promise Taisou," which is a regular feature at WUG live performances.

Then the lights went down and WUG, I-1club, and Next Storm were introduced in a cool way along with the opening video, and the audience was instantly heated up. The title of this live was "Wake Up, Girls! Festa.2017 TRINITY," which made us feel excited that each idol unit would be going wild in a three-way battle.

After such an opening, WUG appeared as the top batter! The seven members, dressed in striking blue costumes with a subdued design, performed their new song "7 Senses" instead of greeting the audience. The song is the opening theme for the TV anime "Wake Up, Girls! The last phrase of the song, "Wait for me at the Promised Land," was sung by everyone in the audience, who jumped up and down to finish the song.

I-1club performed "Kimi to Progress" for the first time at the live. Wearing all-white costumes, they gave an imposing performance that gave the impression that they were champions. The singers sang the song one by one with their own unique voices, as good as WUG's. The audience was impressed by the performance of I-1club's previous songs. The song had a fashionable arrangement and structure that is typical of I-1club's past songs, and the impressive horns in the chorus were very moving.

From the introduction, the penlights turned bright red and the stage was engulfed in flames (*visual presentation), and Next Storm destroyed the moist atmosphere that had prevailed up to that point. It was truly aptly named unit! They performed "Resurrection," which was a true "hookah. The song featured a lot of chorus playing by the members, but the four of them breathed in perfect harmony.

After the three groups performed one song each, all the performers appeared on stage. Are you excited about the 4th year in Makuhari? I hope we can show you the mature charm of I-1club on stage today" (Kiyono Anno), "I'm so happy to be in Makuhari for the third time as Next Storm. I want to create a storm with you all! (Mao Amatsuka), "We will do our best so that we won't lose to the other two teams! Please support us!" (Nanami Yamashita).

It's Wake Up, Girls! We will deliver you to the very back of the stage! and then they launched into their opening song, "Tachiagare! The song started with the audience shouting "Wake Up, Girls! The transition from Yoshioka's solo in the D-melody to Aoyama's solo in the chorus was very emotional and touching because the audience was there. The following cool dance number "Bare Faces and KISS ME" showed the charm of WUG in a geeky way.

After the two WUG songs, Next Storm appeared and sang "Mugendai ILLUSION 2017ver". This was a hard rock arrangement of Namahage-zu (*lamentably disbanded), an idol group from the Tohoku region in the play that appeared in the work, but they covered it beautifully with the full chorus and sang it powerfully and enthusiastically! The audience was also pumping their fists in the air in excitement. The audience was shaking their fists in the air in excitement! Prepare yourself! Mr. Otsubo said strongly, "I'm not doing Next Storm with half a mind! The line sounded as if it was filled with the feelings of Shiho Iwasaki, the actress who plays the role of Shiho Iwasaki, and it was unintentionally heartwarming. When she finished singing, she said, "Namahage! I love it! It was heartwarming to see the friendship between Tohoku and Fukuoka. They also covered "Little Challenger" by I-1club, and the unison of the four members' voices and the fans' singing made the large venue even hotter as they left the stage.

Next up was Kiyono Yasuno, dressed in a kimono! The song she sang in this costume was, of course, "DATTE," the only enka song in this production. When this song was first shown to the public, I was impressed by her unusual singing ability, but I never thought I would be able to hear her sing it live ...... and was very moved. Perhaps many people felt the same way. The staff's efforts were clearly evident as confetti was flown over the center stage.

The following song, "Ditto Yume Mimiteru" is from the drama "Yumemiru Futari" in "Wake Up, Girls! As the live-action commercial linked to the drama was shown, Ms. Yoshioka and Ms. Ohtsubo appeared in their school uniforms. The two sang a sad ballad together, gazing at each other during the B-melody, reenacting scenes from the drama, and finally exiting the stage hand in hand, the performance was a moving sequence that drew the audience into the world of the drama.
