Sequel to "Steins;Gate" to begin airing in April 2018! Sayuri Yahagi will appear in the show!

The broadcast date of "Steins;Gate Zero," a sequel to "Steins;Gate" has been announced.

Steins;Gate" is an anime work based on the popular adventure game series that has sold over 1 million copies. Set in Akihabara, the story is about a small invention circle that accidentally creates a "telephone range," a device that can send e-mails to the past, and as they repeatedly interfere in the past out of curiosity, they end up influencing the past and future of the world. ...... The 24-episode series aired in 2011, and "Steins;Gate the Movie: Déjà vu in the Overloaded Realm" was released in 2013.

This was revealed in the first PV of "Steins;gate zero" released on December 14, 2017 (Thursday). In this PV, the new character Maho Hiyasada can also be seen.

Cast and staff information for the new series was also announced.

Mamoru Miyano will play Rintaro Okabe, Kana Hanazawa will play Mayuri Shiina, Tomokazu Seki will play Itaru Hashida, Asami Imai will play Kurisu Makise, and Sayuri Yahagi will play the newly introduced Maho Hiyasada.

Animation production will continue to be handled by WHITE FOX, as in the previous series, with director Kenichi Kawamura of "SUPER SONICO THE ANIMATION" in charge.
