Macross Series" collaborates with Tokyo Skytree(R)! Decorations, goods for sale, and a collaboration café will be held!

The "MACROSS 35th Anniversary Macross BLUE MOON SHOW CASE IN TOKYO SKYTREE(R)," a collaboration event between the popular anime series "Macross" and TOKYO SKYTREE, will be held from January 9 (Tuesday) to February 28 (Wednesday), 2018 at TOKYO SKYTREE Tokyo Skytree(R)" will be held from January 9 (Tue.) to February 28 (Wed.), 2018.

This year marks 35 years since the "Macross" series was first broadcast on TV. The event will commemorate this milestone year with decorations in the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO KAIRYO featuring characters from the "Macross Series" and the variable fighter Valkyrie, as well as special content screenings at the SKYTREE ROUND THEATER(R) on the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO DECK. The special shop will also feature original goods. In addition, original goods will be sold at a special store and a collaboration café menu will be offered at the SKYTREE CAFE on the observation deck.

Special tickets that include an admission ticket to the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO DECK and TEMBO KAIRO with a limited novelty are also on sale at the TOKYO SKYTREE official website, Ticket PIA sales website, Seven-Eleven, and Circle K Sunkus stores (on sale (on sale until February 27, 2018). The tickets will be sold out as soon as they are sold out, so be sure to get yours as soon as possible!

1] Decorations of "Macross Series" works inside the building
Decorations of the "Macross Series" will be displayed in the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO KAIRO. In addition to introducing the works and characters of the series, the exhibition will also feature the Macross series' distinctive features, such as the Valkyrie, a variable fighter aircraft, and the fascinating songs of the characters.

＜Decoration in the TEMBO Shuttle
Location: Inside the TEMBO SHUTTLE (elevators)
The tactical music unit Valkyrie from "Macross Δ" and the characters Sheryl and Ranka from "Macross Frontier" will appear on the two elevators connecting the TEMBO Kairo and the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO DECK, respectively, for a limited time.An original movie will also be shown at the top of the elevators, creating a sense of anticipation for the TEMBO Kairo.

Location: TEMBOU KAIRO Floor 445 Welcome Area
A monitor objet d'art will appear in the welcome area, where visitors are first greeted. Various monitors of various sizes displaying the opening movie of the "Macross Series" and other scenes, making visitors feel the 35-year history of the "Macross Series".

Location: TEMBOU KAIRO Floor 445 Corridor section
The story of the Macross series and its characters are introduced on the walls of the TEMBOU KAIRO. There will also be a photo spot where visitors can take pictures of Macross series mecha appearing in the panoramic view of Tokyo below.


＜ Valkyrie Battle Zone
Location: TEMBOU KAIRO, Floor 445, turnaround point
Among the variable fighter Valkyries that appear in the works, standing statues of "VF-1S Valkyrie" in GAWK form and "VF-31J Siegfried" in BATROID form will be on display.

<Original Art Gallery ZONE
Location: TENBOU KAIRO, upslope
The original reproductions of the Macross series and valuable illustrations by Macross visual artist Hidetaka Tenjin will be exhibited, which are not usually available. This is a zone where visitors can further enjoy the appeal of the anime.


<"Deka☆Uta Macross" ZONE
Location: SolakaraPoint, the highest point of the Tokyo Skytree TEMBO Kairo
An interactive game tied up with "Uta Macross" will be set up at Solakara Point, the highest point of the Tokyo Skytree TEMBO Kairo, where visitors can enjoy a special stage where the characters sing the famous songs from the Macross series.

＜Macross GOODSZONE
Location: TEMBOU KAIRO, downstairs slope
This is a Macross goods exhibition zone that gathers together a number of related goods that have appeared over the 35 years of the Macross series. Among the exhibits will be a model created by visionary creator Shoji Kawamori, who designed the Macross series' Valkyrie, using toy blocks when designing the variable fighter Valkyrie.

Special contents commemorating the 35th anniversary of the "Macross Series" TV broadcast will be screened at the SKYTREE ROUND THEATER(R) on Floor 350 of the TOKYO SKYTREE TEMBO DECK. In addition to enjoying the mechanics of the Macross series on the big screen, special contents include a completely original movie of the 35th anniversary of the Macross series, a screening of a new Macross music video that will be released exclusively, and an original live video of TOKYO SKYTREE in collaboration with the song Macross.

SKYTREE CAFE, located on Floor 340 of the TEMBO DECK of TOKYO SKYTREE, will offer a limited-time collaboration menu in collaboration with the Macross series. The cafe will be decorated with characters from the Macross series, and one of 10 different original coasters will be given away at random with each order of the collaboration menu.
