An official report from the talk stage held at the JUMP SQ. booth in JUMP FESTA 2018 on Saturday, December 16, 2017 has arrived from the original TV anime "Melchen Medchen," which will begin broadcasting on Thursday, January 11, 2018.

The TV anime "Melchen Medchen" is an original TV animation work with novelist Tomohiro Matsu as scenario designer and illustrator Kantoku as character designer. Currently, the novel has been published up to its third volume, a game adaptation has been decided, and a comic book series is currently underway. The TV animation will be broadcast from January 11, 2018 (Thursday).

The original TV anime "Melchen Medchen" by Tomohiro Matsu (original idea and series composition), StoryWorks (original idea cooperation), and Kantoku (original character design) will start airing on January 11, 2018 (Thursday) . To convey the charm of this work, a talk stage featuring the main cast members was held at the JUMP SQ. booth in JUMP FESTA 2018 on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

　The stage started with the screening of the second PV (promotional PV), which was shown for the first time. After the latest video showing the character voices of the main cast members and the opening theme song, Rie Suegara (playing Shizuka Tsuchimikado), Lynn (playing Yumilia Kazan), Rena Ueda (playing Arthur Pendragon), and Kaede Hondo (playing Yuko Kasumi) appeared on stage. They greeted the audience one by one and said, "Oh, what's going on?　Our lead actor is not here? Tomori Kusunoki, who plays the main character Hazuki Kagimura, hurriedly appeared on stage!　The security guard wouldn't open the door even though I said 'Machen'...," he said, making an excuse for his tardiness in reference to "Mächen Medchen".

If you win, you can make one wish come true," said Lynn.

She also introduced the characters she plays. Hazuki-chan is a girl who is clumsy but can tackle things straightforwardly," said Kusunoki. Then, Rena Ueda, who sang the image song played in the first PV of "Melchen Medchen," mentioned that she will also sing the ending theme song "sleepland" for the TV anime. Speaking about her involvement in the anime theme song, Ms. Ueda said, "It is similar to the image song, but I felt that the lyrics and the song went one step further than that...I was happy to be able to sing it. After sharing the charm of the work, the audience was invited to participate in the "Let's complete your own 'story' of the anime 'Melchen Medchen'! corner started. This was a live voice recording session in which the audience was asked to record lines from the manga serialized in JUMP SQ. on the spot, with Kusunoki playing Hazuki, Suekara playing Shizuka, and Lynn playing Kazan. Kusunoki, Suegara, and Lynn looked nervous at the first opportunity to do postrecording outside of the main anime. Ms. Ueda and Mr. Hondo were in charge of thinking of lines for the speech balloons, and they were having fun whispering to each other about what lines they would ask the three actors to say.

During the live recording, each character spoke an announcement about the media mix development of "Melchen Medchen," which was a bit different from the picture on the panel. The audience laughed as Kusunoki, Suekara, and Lynn made their announcements in a very surrealistic manner, matching the expressions on the characters' faces.

He asked, "What are you conscious of when you play the characters? Suekara-san answered on behalf of the cast, "Shizuka has many gaps between her seriousness and firmness and her bloodthirstiness, so I am careful about that when I play her.
At the end of the show, the five cast members talked about their enthusiasm for the production.

The five of them greeted the audience with the words, "Konnichi Machien! a greeting that was inspired by the work, and the opening was followed by a call-and-response with the audience.

Ms. Kusunoki, wearing the uniform of Kuzunoha Girls Magic Academy Japan, where Hazuki, Shizuka and the other students attend in the work, was called "cute" by the audience and cast members, to which she responded, "I'm so embarrassed! Once the atmosphere of the work and the cast's close friendship were conveyed, it was time for the "Anime 'Melchen Medchen' Presentation Battle! corner. In this section, the participants were asked to write what they thought was the right (or interesting) words on a flip chart with a part of the synopsis of the anime "Melchen Medchen" left blank, and present the appeal of the work.
In short, it was a kind of comedy in which the audience was expected to make fun of the answers, and Mr. Otsu again played an active role. Mr. Kusunoki answered the question by filling in the blanks. Mr. Suekara and Mr. Hidaka casually appealed, "We have a lot of hot spring stories. Ms. Kakuma gave an answer that was typical of the SQ. stage: "I was chosen to be in the original book by Shueisha. And lastly, Mr. Otsu was true to his desires, saying, "I want to release character songs and go on location overseas! He answered faithfully to his desires, drawing laughter.

Next was a question from Kiyotsugu Yamagata, a manga artist who is in charge of the comic book adaptation. He asked, "Is there any character other than yourself that you would like to play?" Girls encounter "original books" (= fairy tales), are chosen, obtain magic, and eventually become "original book users".
This is a story of dreams, magic, and youth, in which "apprentice" (=medium) girls who aim to become such "original book users" weave their own stories together with "original books".

<Animation Synopsis

The girls, called "Medohens", who have been chosen as "Original Writers" are studying at magic academies around the world, aiming to become first-class "Original Writers". Their goal is to win the annual "Hexenacht" magic battle tournament, in which representatives from each school compete against each other to see who is the best. The winner will be granted a magic that will make their wish come true.
One day, Hazuki Kagimura, a high school girl who loves reading and daydreaming, appears before Shizuka Tsuchimikado, the leader of the Japanese school, who is in danger of being suspended from the tournament due to a lack of members. Hazuki, a lonely girl without many friends, is somehow chosen as the original author of the powerful "Cinderella" and enrolls in a magic academy...
The girls train together for the "Cinderella" and the championship, and sometimes even go to the hot springs... A magical battle of the girls is about to begin!
