Killing Bites" is a manga work by Shinya Murata (original story) and Kazuasa Sumida (artwork) serialized in "Monthly Heroes," and is a "beasts battle manga" depicting "Killing Bites," a betting match between beastmen with both human brains and beast power. The TV anime is scheduled to start airing in January 2018.

Report on the advance screening of episodes 1-2 held in Akihabara! Wataru Hatano, Sumire Uesaka, and Aya Harada talk about the charm of the work!

On December 29, 2017, an advance screening of the TV anime "Killing Bites," scheduled to start airing in January 2018, was held. The venue was UDX THEATER in Akihabara, featuring Wataru Hatano as Yuya Nomoto, Sumire Uesaka as Hatsu Inaba, and Aya Harada as Oshie Nojitsu. The event featured screenings of episodes 1 and 2 in the first half, followed by a talk show by the cast in the second half.

After the screening of the first half, the host called for Wataru Hatano, Sumire Uesaka, and A Kaede Harada to appear on stage, where they greeted the audience and introduced the characters they play. Among them, Wataru Hatano made a particularly passionate comment. Mr. Hatano has long professed to be a big fan of the original "Killing Bites," and said that he "feels a great affinity" with Yuya Nomoto, who does the voice of the character. The reason for this is that Mr. Hatano, like the character he plays, was a member of the "Anime Kenkyukai" when he was a student. When he introduced episodes from his days in the Anime Kenkyukai, laughter erupted from everywhere in the audience.

During the talk show, "Radio Killing Bites: Beastman Watching," which began streaming on December 29 on the Internet radio station "Onsen," was introduced. This web radio program is hosted by Chinatsu Akasaki, who plays the role of Mai Shinozaki, and A Kaede Harada, who was present at the event that day. Ms. Harada explained the concept of the program as "a program that observes beasts and all kinds of things in the world. Amamiya Ten, who plays Uzaki Hitomi, appeared as a guest on the first broadcast, which started on the 29th, the day of the event.

To commemorate the start of the program's broadcast, a corner in the program, "The one with the sharpest fangs wins. That's 'Killing Bites.'" was performed in front of the audience. In this corner, the cast members thought of ways to win the "subjects" sent in by listeners. Hatano, Uesaka, and Harada gave ways to win the "morning futon," "cuteness of guesses," and "loneliness," which were displayed on the screen in the hall. Uesaka Sumire drew laughter from the audience in this corner. Every time she proposed an outlandish solution, the room erupted in laughter.

The last part of the talk corner was the announcement corner. The opening theme "Killing bites" (fripSide) will be released on February 28, and the ending theme "Kedamonodamono" (Kitsunezuki) on March 14. In addition, the latest 9th volume of the original comic is scheduled to be released on January 25. Hitomi and Erza are on the cover.

The event was supposed to end here, but as a surprise, a birthday cake was presented to Sumire Uesaka and A Kaede Harada, who celebrated their birthdays in December. Uesaka and Harada had not been told about it beforehand and were surprised and happy when the birthday cake appeared on the stage.

The event ended with an enjoyable talk about the charms of the work.
