A report on the "Slow Start" episode 1 advance screening and cast/staff talk event held on January 4 (Thursday) has arrived!

On January 4 (Thu), an advance screening of the first episode and a talk event with the cast and staff were held at United Cinema Toyosu in advance of the January 6 (Sat), 2018 broadcast start of the TV anime "Slow Start.

Slow Start" is a popular four-frame manga serialized in "Manga Time Kirara" by Atsumi Tadako. The TV anime version is directed by Hiroyuki Hashimoto, the director of "Is Your Order a Rabbit? The series composition is by Mio Inoue, also of "Is Your Order a Rabbit? and character design by Masato Yasuno of "Fuyuinguicchi. Animation production is by A-1 Pictures of "THE iDOLM@STER" series and "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai". A-1 Pictures.

Official Report】

The TV anime "Slow Start" is currently being serialized in Houbunsha's "Manga Time Kirara" and will start airing on January 6, 2018 (Sat) on TOKYO MX, KTV, TV Aichi, BS11, Tochigi TV, and Gunma TV. Prior to the start of the broadcast, an advance screening of the first episode and a talk event with the cast and staff were held at United Cinema Toyosu on January 4 (Thu)!

On stage were Reina Kondo as Hanana Ichinose, Tomomi Mineuchi as Eiko Tokura, and Maria Naganawa as Kana Sengoku. From the staff were director Hiroyuki Hashimoto and producer Wataru Hashimoto (Aniplex). The 400 people in attendance gave a warm round of applause when they took the stage immediately after the screening.

At the talk event, Director Hiroyuki Hashimoto and Producer Wataru Hashimoto "W Hashimoto" explained the background of the TV anime adaptation, which took about 3 years from conception to production. Mariya Naganawa, and Reina Kondo, Tomomi Mineuchi, and Mariya Naganawa talked about their feelings when they were cast after auditions. Producer Wataru Hashimoto also talked about the deciding factor in casting Kondo, who said, "I was so happy (to be cast as Hanana) that I was crying alone in the bath. The staff also talked about the casting decisions for each of the cast members. The cast members commented on the first episode that had just been screened, saying, "It was moving 'lukewarm' from the beginning! I was very impressed." When the cast members commented on their impressions, Director Hashimoto responded, "The staff's love for the work is just amazing.

Tomomi Mineuchi (played by Eiko Tokura):
If you look closely at that scene, you'll see such a cute girl! I enjoyed watching that scene over and over again! I think you can enjoy this work no matter how many times you see it. As Kondo-san said to me earlier, "Definitely, watch it! So, thank you very much for your cooperation.

Mariya Naganawa (Kana Sengoku):
I am so happy to finally be able to show "Slow Start" to everyone today. As the director said, I felt a lot of love from the staff during the recording sessions, and I hope I can convey that love to you through the anime. I love "Slow Start. I look forward to working with you in the future!
