[2017/12/29-31] Twice the inevitable! All the unique cosplayers we encountered at Comic Market 93!

Comic Market 93 (C93), the world's largest otaku festival, was held at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo, from Friday, December 29 to Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Comic Market, commonly known as Comiket, is the world's largest coterie magazine exhibition held twice a year, in August and December. Cosplayers wearing costumes of various characters from anime, games, comics, and other genres add color to Comiket. In this issue, we will introduce some of the unique cosplayers we saw at the event.

The area that was open on the first and second days of the event was the Disaster Prevention Park (Tokyo Rinkai Disaster Prevention Park), which was a popular place for photo shooting. The attraction of this area is its vast space, with plenty of room for a large group or a simple set. As previously reported, "Kemono Friends" was a hit, as the park's grassy lawn is ideal for outdoor-appropriate characters.

In addition, cosplayers of military and uniformed types gathered in large numbers at the Disaster Prevention Park, and the area around the restrooms in the center of the park was filled with a unique atmosphere that was a bit stuffy. Also, cosplayers in ghillie suits mimicking the grass showed a sense of synchronization with the ground, which is only possible in a green space.

Also unique to the outdoors was the "Love Live! Mix10's," who performed a live-like dance performance in a corner of the lawn. This is a cosplay performance often seen at international conventions such as the Cosplay Summit, but it was refreshing to see it inside the Comiket venue.

Therefore, I couldn't help but show it twice! Introducing all of the unique cosplayers!
