A special event for the TV anime "Gaket Kegurui," which is now in its second season, was held on January 6 (Sat) at the Shinjuku Bunka Center Main Hall. Here is the official report from the event.

Gaket Kegurui" is a TV anime based on the popular comic series by Homura Kawamoto (original story) and Toru Naomura (artwork) currently serialized in "Gan Gun JOKER" (Square Enix). The story is about a mysterious transfer student, Yumeko Jabami, who challenges various gambling games at Hyakkaou Academy, a prestigious private school where the children of influential figures in the Japanese political and financial worlds gather and where the strength of gambling, such as "bargaining," "mind-reading," and "game strength," are all important. Directed by Yuichiro Hayashi of "GARO", series composition by Yasuko Kobayashi of "Shinkage no Kyojin", character design by Manabu Akita of "Rage of Bahamut: VIRGIN SOUL", and animation production by "Yuri! on ICE" and "In a Corner of the World" by MAPPA.

The "Gaket Kegurui" Special Event - Private Hyakkaou Gakuen Cultural Festival was held on January 6 (Sat) at Shinjuku Bunka Center Main Hall, and the official report has just arrived.

On January 6, 2018 (Sat), a special event "Private Hyakkaou Gakuen Cultural Festival" for the TV anime "Gaket Kegurui" was held at the Shinjuku Bunka Center.

The first season of the anime, which aired from July 2017, left a strong impact with its unique worldview and facial expressions as an "adrenaline-secreting" anime. The event featured Saori Hayami as Yumeko Snake, Mimi Tanaka as Meari Saotome, Tatsuya Tokutake as Ryota Suzui, Yuki Wakai as Igetsu the Emperor, Karin Nanami as Yuriko Saidoin, Mariya Ise as Delirium Ikushima, Yu Serizawa as Yumemi Yumemi, Mayu Uden as Luna Kisumizuki, and Ayaka Fukuhara as Seika Igarashi, among other members of the cast. The cast members took the stage. The talk corner "Ask the cast of 'Kaket Kegai Gurui' a lot of things about 'Kaket Kegai Gurui'! They talked about the recording sessions and the main story.

The game corner "Team competition! In the next game corner, "Teams compete in an extreme game! In the game corner, the cast members were divided into two teams, Yumeko's team and the Student Council's team, and played "Real Voting Rock-paper-scissors" and "Action Indian Poker," both of which are based on gambling games that appear in the anime. The representative of the team had to recreate Yumeko's walking in the ending image by himself/herself. The team was awarded the "Pochimike Prize," which was given to the representative who could recreate Yumeko's walking pose from the ending of the anime.

After the reading corner, Tia sang the OP theme "Deal with the devil" and D-selections sang the ED theme "LAYon-theLINE". The stage was filled with excitement, especially since this was Tia's first live performance of the song.

At the end of the event, video letters from Tomokazu Sugita (Kaede Mousouda) and Miyuki Sawashiro (Kiari Momogui), who were unable to attend the event today, were shown. The audience was very excited by the surprise, which was not known even to the speakers, and the event closed with joyful comments from the cast and artists in their closing remarks, leaving a lingering impression of the big announcement.

I can't predict what will happen to Suzui in the second season, but as I said in the last line of the last episode, I want to be with Yumeko and her friends more, so I will work harder.

Hyakkaou Gakuen is a private school that has been in existence for 122 years. At this traditional and prestigious school, students' ranks are determined by their "gambling strength".
