The exhibition will feature special interactive exhibits created especially for this exhibition, which will be on display for the first time in Japan.

As the culmination of the 30th anniversary of the RPG series "FINAL FANTASY," which has shipped and downloaded more than 135 million units worldwide, a large-scale retrospective exhibition "FINAL FANTASY 30th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION -Farewell Story Exhibition-" (hereinafter referred to as "Farewell Exhibition") will look back on 30 years of history with the theme of farewell. The exhibition will be held at Mori Arts Center Gallery on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower from January 22 (Monday) to February 28 (Wednesday), 2018.

The "Farewell Stories" exhibition is a large-scale retrospective that reconstructs the numerous breakup stories depicted in the artist's works into an interactive exhibition with a variety of elaborate touches.
The "Voice AR System "*1 newly developed for this exhibition was introduced, and approximately 150 Beacons*2 were placed throughout the venue. Visitors are given a special voice guidance device (with headphones) to wear while viewing the exhibits. Just by standing in front of the exhibits, visitors can automatically hear game BGM and character voices synchronized with each one, as well as personalized navigation based on their activities and attributes. *1: "Voice AR System".

*1: To experience the "Voice AR System," a "special voice guidance system" is required, one of which is loaned to each visitor per ticket.

2: A signal transmitter that uses low-power short-range wireless technology to send out a signal once every few seconds to a radius of several meters.

This exhibition consists of 9 areas, starting with the interactive attraction theater where visitors board the airship Enterprise with their friends and travel beyond the dimensional boundaries into the world of Final Fantasy, and then reconstructing the series' 30-year history in a farewell. The audio AR system will be linked to the exhibits and will include "Death on the Big Bridge (FFV)," "In Search of Friends (FFVI)," "Liberi Fatari (FFVIII)," "Someday I'll Return (FFIX)," "In Zanarkand (FFX)" and other Final Fantasy songs, which are considered the pinnacle of game music. The album contains about 50 songs representing the FINAL FANTASY series, which is regarded as the pinnacle of game music.

In the exhibition area featuring FFVII and FFXV, there will be a special interactive exhibition of the original stories prepared for this exhibition, which will be shown for the first time in Japan.
In FFVII "The Words Left Behind by Aerith," visitors can listen to the memories of the heroine Aerith in a monologue written especially for this exhibition in a space that recreates a slum church.
Also, in the FFXV "Phantom Wedding," visitors can experience the world of Final Fantasy that can only be experienced here, such as the congratulatory speeches given to the hero Noctis and his fiancée Lunafrena by his father and best friend.
We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy the world of this ephemeral yet beautiful story.
