Higanjima X" Completely New Animation Production and Free Distribution!

It was announced that a completely new animation of "Higanjima X" will be produced and distributed for free.

Higanjima" is a popular manga serialized in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha) by Kouji Matsumoto. The manga depicts the battle between the main character, Akira Miyamoto, and the vampire, Masashi, and its unique depiction and worldview have been very popular, not only among horror fans but also among a wide range of people. Even now, in its 15th year of serialization, it is a very popular manga that consistently ranks high in readers' polls.

This "Higanjima X" is the first "Higanjima" short anime adaptation. The story is a complete episode that follows the popular episodes of the original manga while adding original elements, and many famous scenes and lines that fans covet are reproduced in the anime. The first anime adaptation of the series began in October 2016, with 12 episodes distributed bi-weekly on the Tetra Channel on Youtube and Nico Nico Douga. After the distribution ended, related products such as Blu-ray releases and LINE stamps were released, but now it was decided to produce a completely new animation as a special edition, which will also be distributed for free.
