We pick up information on voice actors that you should check out now! The "Weekly Seiyu Hakusho" is an almost weekly a la carte of Seiyu news, which we bring you along with articles from the past!

This time, we have a bit of nostalgic Seiyu news about a slightly nostalgic work.
On January 22, 2018, a Twitter account called "Sentimental Graffiti 20th Project (@senti_20th)" suddenly appeared to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the beautiful girl love game "Sentimental Graffiti," which was released on January 22, 1998. Around the same time, the voice actors who appeared in the show at the time also made comments on Twitter and on their blogs to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Sentimental Graffiti" is a romance game that represented the late 1990s, when the popularity of "Tokimeki Memorial" still lingered. The main character, who has been moving from place to place in Japan since his childhood due to his parents' circumstances, suddenly receives a letter from an unknown sender saying, "I miss you. The story is that the protagonist reunites with 12 girls whom he knows, and searches for the sender through their interaction.
The title sounds "sentimental," but when it comes down to it, the protagonist is a high school student who works part-time every weekday while attending high school, and on weekends, he uses weekends to visit girls all over Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Fukuoka Prefecture in the south. He was like an artist in the middle of a national tour, with an intense schedule. In order to save money on lodging, the player must stay in a tent to survive the nighttime dew, which is a tough survival life that one would not expect from a love game.
In addition to such an outrageous game system, the game has been the subject of much discussion, including the strong catchphrase "burst of impatience," and the OP movie in which the heroines dance in unusual poses in the dark, which for some reason has been called a "dark dance.

However, apart from the reputation of the game, the popularity of the heroines was astounding at the time. Even before the game was released, the popularity of the cute heroines skyrocketed! The pre-disc "Sentimental Graffiti First Window," which was released in a limited edition of 30,000 copies prior to the main game, contained only setting images of the heroines, but it was in short supply and at one point sold for as much as 15,000 yen, far more than the regular price.
The "SG Girls," a unit formed by the 12 voice actors who appeared in the show, actively held events and concerts, and sold many related goods. A CD containing the school song of the high school attended by the heroines was even released (and I was one of the people who bought it).
After the game's release, a wide range of media was developed, including a sequel title and the broadcast of the TV anime "Sentimental Journey.

As I mentioned earlier, the legendary "Sentimental Graffiti" will be rebooted on January 22, 2018, the 20th anniversary of the original game's release.
On the same day, as mentioned above, a Twitter account called "Sentimental 20th Project" appeared.

Other SG Girls members also dropped congratulatory comments on Twitter and Facebook, creating a sudden "Sengra" whirlwind on social networking sites.

Some of the cast members have already retired, but it's tempting to hope that perhaps there will be some new developments on the occasion of the 20th anniversary: ......
Keep an eye out for "Sengra"!
