The single release of "KISS OF DEATH (Produced by HYDE)" is the first time in 13 years that Mika Nakashima and HYDE have teamed up for a hit song since their hit "GLAMOROUS SKY". In addition to the fast-paced title track, which was written based on the story of the anime, the coupling track "GLAMOROUS SKY (Re: Present 2018)," the theme song for the movie "NANA," is included.

In addition to the standard edition, the lineup also includes an anime edition and a first-run edition. The anime edition will include "KISS OF DEATH (Produced by HYDE) TV Size," the same soundtrack as the OP theme of "Darling in the Frankis," and a DVD containing the OP video; the first edition will include a DVD containing the MUSIC VIDEO of the title song.

The artwork for the new album is based on Mika Nakashima's desire to "express the world of both the song and the anime," with visuals reminiscent of the popular "Zero Two" character from "DARIHURA" and the song's "fragility and solitude amidst strength.
