Information on merchandise has arrived from "Weekly Shonen Jump Exhibition Vol. 2 - The Impact of 6.53 Million Copies in the 1990s," the second exhibition in the "Weekly Shonen Jump Exhibition," which looks back on the history of "Weekly Shonen Jump" from its first issue to the present. The exhibition will be held at the same time as "Weekly Shonen Jump Exhibition VOL.2.

Weekly Shonen Jump" was first published twice a month in July 1968 as "Shonen Jump" and became a weekly publication in 1969. The 3rd and 4th issues of the New Year 1995 New Year's combined issue had the largest circulation ever for a manga magazine, with 6.53 million copies sold. The magazine has continued to lead the shonen manga world with many works that have sold over 100 million copies in total, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2018.
To mark the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump, which has produced numerous popular manga since its first issue, a large-scale exhibition, "50th Anniversary Weekly Shonen Jump Exhibition," will be held. This will be the first exhibition in Japan to feature original artwork from the first issue of the magazine and the largest-ever exhibition of original Jump artwork. The exhibition will be divided into three phases over 50 years, with "From the First Issue to the 80s" held in summer 2017 as VOL. 1, "The 90s" in spring 2018 as VOL. 2, and "The 2000s" in summer 2018 as VOL. 3, each of which is designed to be enjoyed by readers from different generations. The second of these exhibitions, "Sokkan", is scheduled to be held in the summer of 2018.
