Card Captor Sakura Clear Card Arc", special event "Sakura Fest 2018" will be held and BD & DVD will be released!

From "Card Captor Sakura Clear Card Arc," which has been airing on NHK BS Premium since January 2018, a Blu-ray & DVD will be released. In addition, it was announced that a special event "Sakura Fest 2018" will be held on April 1, the birthday of the main character Sakura Kinomoto.

Card Captor Sakura" is a popular manga serialized in "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha) from 1996 to 2000 by CLAMP, the hit maker of "Magic Knight Rayearth" and "XXXHOLiC", etc. When the TV anime was aired on NHK in 1998, its popularity accelerated even further. The popularity of the manga accelerated when it was made into an animated television series on NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) in 1998, becoming a huge boom that transcended gender and generation. In 2016, the 20th anniversary of the serialization, a new sequel, "Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card Arc," began serialization, and an anime version started airing on NHK BS Premium on January 7 this year.

Following last year, "Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card Arc" announced that a special event "Sakura Fest 2018: Happy Easter for Sakura and Everyone" will be held on April 1, the birthday of the main character Sakura Kinomoto.

The event will be held at Maihama Amphitheater in Chiba with two performances in the afternoon and evening. The main cast of "Clear Card Arc" including new characters such as Sakura Tange playing Sakura Kinomoto, Junko Iwao, Aya Hisakawa, Imotoko Kumamoto, Emi Ogata, Minori Suzuki, and Natsuki Hanae will all participate in the event. The ED theme will also be featured in the film. In addition, Saori Hayami, the artist of the ED theme that colors the work, will also appear at the event. She will perform "Jewelry," the much talked about ED theme of "Clear Card Arc.
This year, under the title of "Happy Easter for Sakura and Everyone", various Easter-themed events will be held. Today, an original illustration of the characters dressed in Easter-inspired costumes was unveiled for the first time. Goods using these illustrations will be on sale at the venue on the day of the event.
Expectations are high for what kind of special contents the performance will have in accordance with the theme.
