Yuuka Aisaka releases her 1st album. The album music video song is a girly rock "Instant Max me" provided by Yasuko Omori.

Yuuka Aisaka, aka Aisaka-kun, a voice actress and artist, is releasing her first album. The slightly unusual title of the album, "Rooftop no Chuju de Kimi no Kokoro wa Aoiku Koruhama" (In the Middle of the Rooftop, Your Heart Remains Blue and Fragrant), is said to reflect her wish that "I want you to be yourself as you are, without being dyed in any way.
Artists she respects, such as ALI PROJECT and Another Infinity, have provided new music for the album, including the album music video song "Instant Max me," written by Yasuko Omori. Also included in this remarkable album is "Now Here", an insert song from the theatrical anime "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion II: Rebellion II".

Yasuko Omori wrote the music video song "Instant Max Me" for the album!

─ The title of the album, "In the middle of the rooftop, your heart remains fragrant blue," is quite unique.

Aisaka: "Your heart is still blue and fragrant" is a phrase that represents what I have always wished for: "I want you to be yourself as you are, without being dyed by anything. At first, I didn't include the words "in the middle of the rooftop," but I wanted the title to evoke an image of the scenery, so I added it. And there is one space in a slightly unusual place (laughs).

─ ─ It looks like a one-line poem, and it certainly conjures up images of scenery.

Aisaka I would be happy if you could take it as you will, whether you are feeling the breeze pleasantly under the blue sky, or whether you are standing still with a thought in your mind. Either way, when you are alone in a spacious place, I think you can be yourself, untainted by anything.

───Your artist debut with "Invisible Night Sky" was on January 27, 2016, so the album contains two years of Aisaka's career.

Aisaka: "Invisible Night Sky" is an important debut song, so I was very particular about its placement in the album: I wanted the audience to feel the new me in the first song, "Instant Maximum Me," and then to bring "Invisible Night Sky" as the second song and think, "I knew it!

───And the third song was the second single, "Cerulean Squash," which made the beginning of the album very spectacular.

Aisaka: The order of the songs was decided after discussions with the director. The structure of the album is quite in line with my wishes.

I thought it would be very moving for fans who have been listening to your CDs for a long time to have a sequence of single coupling songs in the middle of the album, starting with the seventh song, "Look back," followed by "Dependence" and "Impulse.

Aisaka: These three songs have a unique worldview, so I thought it would be better to put them together rather than record them separately. They are all composed by Tadashi Tokizawa, and I hope you will feel the dramatic world of his compositions.

──There are a total of 12 songs on the album, three each of single songs and their coupling songs, so the remaining six are new songs.

Aisaka: Overall, I think we have created a well-balanced album. The new songs on the album were written by various people, and they are all unique.

The first song, "Instant Maximum Me," was written and composed by Yasuko Omori. This song is the music video song for the album, isn't it?

Aisaka Yes, it is. I usually listen to Omori's music and love it. The lyrics depict feelings of being trapped, but the melody is pop, and I have always admired the Omori world created by the combination of the two. The song "The Biggest Me of the Moment" is also a wonderful song with a mixture of cuteness and disquiet.

─ From our male point of view, I thought the song had a view of the world that only a girl could have.

Aisaka: That may be so. Girls have many sides to them. There are cute parts, of course, but deep down, they may be scarier than men (laughs). In the "Instant Maximum Me," there was a cute phrase that I would never have come up with, "pink cider," and then there was "I want to see you before you become a corpse," which is just as you would expect from Ms. Omori.

─ What was your impression of Ms. Omori herself?

Aisaka: She was just so cute. I call her "Seiko-chan" just like my fans do, and I felt like I was right in front of "Seiko-chan". When I talked to her, I felt that she had a different perspective on things and was a very deep person.

─ ─ It was interesting to hear lyrics such as "I want to be like an anime" and "I can't be like an anime.

Aisaka: I think he wrote the lyrics with the fact that I am a voice actor in mind. Mr. Omori is from the rock world, and because his field is different from that of anime and voice actors, I think his expression was straightforward. I also thought it was an interesting part of the project.

───What do you feel about the title "Instantaneous Maximum Me", Mr. Aisaka?

Aisaka: I did not have a chance to ask Mr. Omori directly, but I wondered if it meant that the present moment is the best in my life. I thought so. There is a part in the lyrics that says, "Even if the season has passed and you fall off," and even if that eventually happens, I think it means that you have no regrets because you are at your best now, and that you have no regrets because it is the path you have chosen. This is my personal interpretation, so I would like everyone who receives the song to interpret it freely.
